What will you want to get if it reach $200,000?

If it ever reaches $200,000 for 1 BTC, maybe I'll buy a pencil. I won't be able to afford much more than that...

Kidding. If I were to ever sell that high, I'd probably buy some real estate and/or travel.

I think I will keep it, it will make a good investment. When it stay in the family for the future.

Depends how many Bitcoins I have. I'd buy a house or save it.

I can see Bitcoin being worth about 10K within a couple of years, but 200k is a bit extreme. Maybe if BTC becomes fully mainstream adopted, sure, but not otherwise.

Really? $200,000 and that's what you spend it on? That said if a Bitcoin becomes worth that much I'll have considered that the economy has already collapsed and hold onto it.

I definitely wouldn't spend it on anything like that. I would get myself a nice home and be done with it. Share the money with the family and live life.

If it reached $200,000 I would have enough to build a small housing estate. I would also have enough to buy one of England's very fine castles/stately homes.  ;D

However, I would probably just buy a street and rent out the houses.  :)

I think we can fairly safely assume OP has much more than 1BTC and wouldn't be spending his entire stash on a bottle of something. Seeing as I currently am only holding about 0.5BTC I guess mine would also be going into property, but sadly I think I'd have probably panicked and sold on one of the bubbles on the way up  :P

A lot of people cashing out at the peaks did so after forgetting they even had any BTC to begin with. That won't happen with us.

when or if bitcoin reaches 200,000, i don't think i'd spend it on much.. i don't really want much of anything.

I got more then 1 BTC, so that is what I will get first.  ;D

I am sure a supercar and mansion is number 2 or 3 in the list.  :)

i was never really into cars.. and the thing is, it only loses value the longer you keep it. i just naturally don't have a taste for the finer things. i'd buy a tesla if i were filthy rich, so that's not very likely (20+ million).

Car-wise I'd probably go for a Tesla as well, though I'm not a big car enthusiast myself.

I actually kind of like the idea of having a chauffeur on payroll more than owning a bunch of cars.

We still haven't been bought or IPOed.....

If I had 1 BTC (which probably won't happen) I will buy myself a place to live. Nothing more, nothing less. Just something decent, probably will have some spare money to buy all the furniture and all the rest I need to live there. It would mean a lot that way. Still either way that is a distant future.

Don't get me wrong... but is it even safe to drink 150+ year old cognac?

I don't want to buy a 0.5 l drink for 200k and then spend a few months in hospital because of food poisoning.

Nice choice of your but I would buy my personnel house with $200,000. Thankfully I would be able to leave the rented house in an old town and shift into my own luxury house at a prime location near big malls. However $200,000 for bitcoins seem a very little certain but $2500 will be more appropriate prediction in 2 to 3 years

Come one this is just a fantasy thread, it will hit 200k one day. But will I live to see it, we never know.

in my opinion it will hit $10k until mid/end 2014... remember these words...

People are free to say whatever they like. And there is no guarentee that it will not hit the 200k mark. It may not hit 200k in the next 10-15 years... but how can anyone be sure that after a few decades that will not happen?

I think I would pay off my debt and then donate some of the money back to the BTC community.

I would buy myself a personal observatory. Nothing fancy. Fifteen inch telescope, a good guiding mount, a good camera to record deep space objects. The rest I would give away to people I know who need the money more with greetings form Bitcoin.

I could probably buy a 50$ game :D!
