<gribble> 4.64049603109 % estimated difficulty change this period i'm thinking it could go higher as ppl come back from other *coins and there are still (believe it or not) ppl adding mining hardware to the network. Post by: rotrott on August 24, 2011, 09:54:57 PM Are these spikes caused by variance in solving blocks or are they actually caused by adding and taking away network hashes? It seems strange that 3 thash would be added and taken away in just a few days...

Luck also plays a factor, but a lot of mining power has been moving around back and forth with the new coins. Title: Re: Next difficulty increase or decrease? Post by: geek-trader on August 24, 2011, 10:21:25 PM Well, as a bitcoin miner that stays in bitcoin, keep the stupidcoins coming! ;D
