Would you mind sharing your hardware setup? I am investing in another rig soon and can't decide what to buy yet.

The most profitable alt is one that you and all these others running around looking for it have not found yet.

Once you find it oh well time to move on as it won't be profitable anymore.

Slash-and-burn agriculture turned out not to be as effective in the long run as sustainable agriculture, crop rotation, heck a lot of innovations that happened since slash and burn was the best method known.

Might be similar with cryptocoins?

We all make tiny mistakes..

slash and burn is the right thing to do, as somebody already said.. choice is the only problem; everybody has billions of coins waiting to explode at one point.. with your hash, mine everything that comes out, thereby decreasing chances to miss the train..

I think the term "strip mining" better applies to multipool type profit seekers. They just mine to dump coins as fast as possible, hurting both the short-term and long-term prospects of the coin they strip-mined.

Yeah very short-sighted. They'd rather burn a million-dollar bill to sell its ashes for a penny than wait for the bank to have a million dollars in stock to redeem it for.
