Title: Doge, investments, Cryptocurrency, and the world. Post by: kain35m on December 29, 2013, 07:47:20 AM First, I don't know about anyone else here, but I've started using the word "crypto" to describe ALL cryptocurrencies in the market, so that I don't have to spend all day spelling out different specific "cryptos"
I know one thing for sure. I'm going long doge. I think this thing is going to skyrocket and I'm going to be there when it does. I'm also going long BTC, WDC, NMC, and a few others. I think a few too many people are focused on the short game. If doge doesn't gain traction for 6 months, what have I lost? I'm still paying my bills. But if it rises to even $1... Let's just say I'm glad I've got a little skin in the game. As for doge competing with big boy BTC? I think doge will hold it's own. Probably always be the little bro, but if even a few brick-and-mortar stores start adopting it, the doge will be a lot more than a joke that has long since lost it's humor. Much serious...so real...why not? So, I hope the doge developers are kicking it into high gear. 2014 is the year that everybody will be speaking crypto. BTC will be king with LTC shortly after. But the playing field will be rife with people wondering what else is out there. I'm not B.S.ing when I say that doge could get widely adopted. I still hold my stance that cryptos will never really kill fiat or take over the world. But I do think that everyone here stands the possibility of becoming the worlds new elite, spreading the wealth, and helping level the playing field. I think the world will be more unified as people from everywhere help fight hunger, oppression, homelessness, and poverty by giving small amounts of crypto to the charities who accept it. I, for one, am planning a charity to battle homelessness which will be based in as many cryptos as I can get. (mostly BTC, of course) I think people should have a place to live. The world will be a better place due to cryptocurrencies and the giving, generous nature of the crypto-community. I'd say that things are looking promising. 2014 is going to be a big year. I can see it. I think BTC is going to seriously increase in value, dragging a lot of others up with it. I think Crypto is going to create as many millionaires in 2014 as it did in 2013, if not more. (I'm obviously hoping to be one of them, along with many of you) I think that if we keep helping people get out of poverty, taking power from the 0.01%, and building on the framework already in front of us, 2014 can be a VERY good year. Look at the marketcap and do the math. Title: Re: Doge, investments, Cryptocurrency, and the world. Title: Re: Doge, investments, Cryptocurrency, and the world. Post by: kain35m on December 29, 2013, 03:53:55 PM The fact is, there is light at the end of the tunnel. I'm sure there are a select few who are trying to snuff it out and/or make us reverse course. You can see it in these crappy "warnings" talking about the dangers of BTC. Some people don't want us to have homes and be out of debt. Some people want us on monthly payment plans until the day we die.
Whatever about the doge. if it never hits $1 or even $.01, I'm happy soomeone made it, and the value will increase. I don't have all my eggs in one basket, so I kind of don't give a D where it goes from here. I'll be just fine. I don't even have all my money in cryptos either. I just think it's fun to speculate and it would be pretty cool if the doge took off. I want to see that goofy looking coin when I go into a bakery or a t-shirt shop. Just like I want to see a nice big BTC! Mostly though, I just wanted to tell all of you that I see the serious potential for a very good future in our lifespan because there is a method for us to help each other. I travel a bit, and I have seen some pretty impoverished places. I think it'd be cool to see those places thriving and happy(with a big sign reading bitcoin accepted here!) It's obviously going to take more than just our little community to create the future that I see, but it's another step in the right direction. It's going to take people building their own.....You know what? I want to show you what I mean. I have to end this comment and go do some work, but I'll come back later. The joke will end way before this time next year. Title: Re: Doge, investments, Cryptocurrency, and the world. Post by: kain35m on December 29, 2013, 04:10:14 PM There's no way Doge will "skyrocket" to the point where you'll be a millionaire thanks to Doge alone. The joke will end way before this time next year. The joke is over already. If that coin is going to make it, they have to develop it as a serious contender. The point is, though, they have an advantage that not a lot of coins have: a large backing of people who joined in early and want to see it succeed for one reason or another. I don't need doge to go "to the moon" to become a millionaire. I just want to see it succeed because it had a fantstic start. I think when anyone starts off that well, they deserve to succeed. they just have to capitalize on the momentum that the joke helped provide. |
