Title: Is it still worth to buy a 1050ti Post by: swogerino on May 17, 2018, 08:49:14 AM I have been managing my colleagues rigs for some months now. Since the start of doing so I was amazed by mining and how easy it is to generate bitcoins with it.
I am thinking of building a new 12 cards mining Pc. I have decided to build it with 12 gtx 1050 ti as the consumption is lower if you limit the temperature to 69 degree for example. Hashrate will be a good one at about 2000-2100 sol mining zcash as this coin has skyrocketed lately. My question is , is this kind of computer worth 2400 euro or I am being robed ? I have some rigs based on that architecture in my mining operations and they run just fine for months.
Regarding the price, 2400 since a medium-high price if we consider just the hardware, this changes if it is an already built one since it prices also the ability and time to build it. Will you be able to sell them and at what price? My guess is they won't be worth much currently being at the bottom of nvidia offer of gaming cards.

I think I will wait till July or August and hopefully by that time I can buy such computer for 1800 euro rather than 2400.
