Title: How hot do your cards run?
Post by: mute20 on August 24, 2011, 07:23:42 PM
I am curious how hot peoples cards run while mining. I only have 1 6850 ,but it runs pretty cool 70 nights 75 by day. How hot do most multicast systems run?

All the green ones are 5830s, orange and red are 6950s.  You'll notice how the cooling on the 6950s blows, no pun intended.

I have two dual 6970 systems, in computer cases (no side panel.) The bottom one (poor airflow) gets to about 85C, the top one 78C. I run an automated script that downclocks them whenever the temperature gets above 88C.

The case itself is amazing tho..Best use of fans/space ive ever seen...and it was <$100

All 6950s

Closed rigs seem to be between 75-85C
Open rigs are generally between 55-70C

pretty much same here, I aim for 68-70, then 80 gets looked at.
