Title: NFC Bitcoin applications

To what degree, if any, has this been used before?  I'd like to implement NFC for a point of sale payment solution.  I particularly need help with digital design.

I'm aiming to use NFC to allow an offline device to receive payments from online mobiles.  If an offline device can generate key pairs on the spot, it could verify tx's with NFC and remain offline all the time.

NFC is already used for Visa/MC/Eurocard payments, at least to some extent, pretty much everywhere except the US.

OpenCXP is a cryptocurrency POS spec proposal based largely on the NFC (NDEF) standards. It's still in RFC (req for comment) stage but the draft whitepaper is available for review at www.opencxp.org for anyone to read and submit comments before an official release in Jan.

Cool, thank you.  I think there's lots to be done here.  I am still looking for digital EE guys to help get stuff going.  I made a tech discussion thread, this might be better there https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=391522.new#new
