Title: Question
Post by: 1905 on August 25, 2011, 02:44:30 AM
so my buddy has http://www.legitreviews.com/article/513/1/ board and is wondering how hard it would be to crossfire 2 5870s on it with a pciex1 adapter to a pciex16 doing crossfire. is this even possible. i told him i hear of some people doing stuff like that. does it lower hashrates if even possible. what would you guys recommend. should he just buy a new board? also we are looking at boards that run 2 pciex16 slots one is running at x8 and one is running at x4 is that going to be an issue? please advise. much thanks :)

Running at x1 is fine for mining, but don't xfire them, it lowers your hashing speed.
