Guys it's happening. With all of the recent news, it looks like everyone is starting to embrace crypto. I think doing this through stablecoins is the way. What do you guys think?

Talk about a misleading title. Apple aren't accepting crypto. Some random altcoin will sell you Apple products for their coin. This is hardly news. I could use Bitcoin to buy second-hand Apple products from the guy two blocks over for years.

I think you're missing the implication of this article. this is the first ecommerce store in the world that uses a stablecoin to buy stuff. this is the first real use case of a stablecoin in action.

It's not misleading though anyone could start their own service helping people to buy anything they want in exchange for crypto and that's what havven seems to be doing.


Not everyone is allowed though it's mentioned in the article that they only accept people from the US.

Oh, at first I was surprised. How could I miss this news? This, of course, doesn't apply to Apple.
Nevertheless, the guys from Havven are developing. I've seen several projects that try to be some kind of layer between buyers and sellers. At the same time, use either their own currency or accept payments in bitcoin or Ether in relation to the rate of some stable altcoins.
I have added this site to bookmarks. Let's see what they can do.

Good news indeed. After Japan allow BTC to be used to buy cars and France classified crypto as a movable property and lower the tax to 19% Apple made a move to strengthen the buying power of crypto.

This is a good thing, and everyone is starting to accept cryptocurrency is a matter of pleasure, which means that cryptocurrencies are being developed to better places, although the main purpose of cryptocurrencies is to buy and sell to make profits, but I think cryptocurrency will have better use in the future! This is a very good news to all of us. This is one way of getting the word out about cryptocurrency. There are some people in here that doesn't want to use their credit cards to purchase apple products as gifts to their loved ones for them to be surprised. At least there are lots of payment options to acquire an iphone or any other apple products on the market. Just imagine if those 8 percent of the population will grow to even just 30 percent population in US that will actively invest in crypto so there's a huge possibility that crypto values will skyrocket few years from now. As we all know crypto values depends on the acceptance and adaption of the society.

Even more good news, something like this can actually be what finally convinces me to start using an iphone because if I can buy it using cryptos then I would and would start using their products more often. Although I am not sure how authentic this news is because if a tech giant like apple started accepting cryptos then the news would be everywhere so I would have to wait and see

This is great news for the whole crypto world! Finally, this began to happen and the world of cryptocurrencies increasingly interacts with the traditional world. I hope with each new day of such news there will be more and more companies in the world will be involved in new technologies.

How I wish this is coming directly from Apple,  it would have been a great plus for cryptocurrency,  nevertheless it's still a great information because I've never come across this news before its still a form of motivation towards general acceptability of crypto.. This should be a third-party service, I do not know Apple support, if Apple's official support, it is definitely a major advantage, but this channel is also a good idea, I believe there will be more and more support.

That is a good gesture but article does say that only 8% of American population has invested into the crypto currencies which means that there is too short window for the buyers to come by. I mean America is country where apple is mostly sold and thus unfortunately it will receive less number of buyers. But if those alternative crypto currency methods are international one then there could be serious change in the whole thing and it will be helpful to every person out there.

I agree with you. Was surprised by reading the title honestly, but understood the true meaning after going through the article itself. Why in the world would Apple even embrace cryptocurrencies all of a sudden when they have already made it very clear that they do not support cryptocurrencies in general? I doubt that they will change their stance anytime soon just like majority of the big companies like Facebook, Twitter etc. I feel that they would truly embrace crypto once the volatility decreases to a much more stable level which would serve as an alternate payment solution to FIAT.

As the idea is so promising but it is still under developement for Apple stores when Microsoft already accepts bitcoin payements. Early or late for apple to get involved in crypto environment but i found it a biggest step for apple to continue growth and maintain the developement in technology.

Such news should have taken down the roof of the market, because today Apple is a company with huge volumes of fiat money, and if there is an opportunity to buy via crypto currency, then they have a conversion point, which can already say that through them there will be a colossal amount of money.

Well Ive read about stable coins and that it is used to protect against price volatility and some platform have their own stable coin too. well in this way maybe, more investors will try and be involved in the crypto world knowing that they can use such coin without the worries of the volatility of the market. And Havven is a good project to introduce crypto and stable coin and  being able to buy apple in their store using it.

Read the article and was surprised it isn't a major crypto. I thought for sure that the method of payment would be either on BTC or ETH since you know, majority of the people recognize this. But with Havven coin? Hmmm, i need to research more on that.

It is good to hear because in a little bit can comes into a big ones.  I think it can cause the effect of price then the chance of the cryptocurrency was become more high.  This thing can copy by other companies so they are willing to do it if it is successful then the cryptocurrency can be hear around the world.  apple is a high companies and also Samsung is also connected to crypto because they create a device that can compatible for mining.

I just wonder how there is so many good news for cryptocurrency world lately and nothing good happening with price of tokens/coins.

What's the catch? I'm sure there is, specially companies who tends to accepts cryptocurrency offers a huge amount of transaction fees or service fees in return to convenience and availability plus how will they react to the ever changing market and how would they be able to secure the customers transaction details.

Its is good to see that bigger companies are now accepting cryptocurrency as a mode of payment  to buy their products, surely there is a catch here as bigger companies are looking to the potential of cryptocurrency and adopting it. The thing is that this is the next step to integrate crypto to our every day life. This is really expected, most of the big companies will sooner or later keep up with our future which is the cryptocurrency. Also, this is their competitors are also going to cryptocurrency which they want to compete with them so that they don't get behind when their competitors. Your title says one thing and the article says another. Did you even read what was written on the article? Your title is totally misleading. Apple is not accepting crypto currency. Its some other coin that are selling apple products in exchange for their coins from their store. This is a whole different thing. Its like buying a laptop from someone else (not apple) in exchange of crypto currencies.

The subject of the thread is quite click bait as the news is related to it but it comes with a twist. First of all, let me clear you that the biggest mobile tech company has not started accepting crypto and its only one store in U.S. which uses cryptocurrency to help users buy products from there store. The store is using havven coin for this work as it seems to be more stable and secure for the store in comparison to any other coin available in crypto market. I am also confident that crypto-currencies will gradually move into everyday life. The truth is I think that prices will still be in a fiat currency, because it is much less volatile. But you can buy for a crypto currency, which will be converted instantly at the current exchange rate

This is incorrect. There is no listing that says that you can buy apple products, there is no such indication on their sites nor in their stores. You can buy second hand apple products from people who are selling theirs. If they are willing to take cryptos then you can buy with cryptos but that is about it. Apple has not started accepting crypto payments for any of their products.

This is very good news. But still, most people will prefer to use cash for payment. I hope more and more companies will use cryptocurrencies for payment. It may take much less time to ensure that cryptocurrencies are embedded in people's lives.
