Title: DOGE dying
Post by: Jcw188 on December 30, 2013, 08:18:06 PM
Wow a week ago all the posts were DOGE this and DOGE that.  Now I can barely see anything about it and the price is less than half.  Newbies keep this in mind next time someone is pumping the heck out of something.

No hope lost!
It never left the top 5 on 24h volume.
Heavy miner who don't care about the fun are selling too low.

I hold.
Will see in a month. Very doubtful about it losing more than 50% value.
Will probably be up 50% value, if not much more.

Keep Happy & have fun.
Doge is a game changer, mind changing at least.

'feel good on doges.org
Social and fun value overpass capitalist value.

PS: don't need such post... avoid

No, I think if DOGE had anything good to contribute this "place" would have been ok with it.  Look someone is still saying silly things, no thoughts involved with "keep happy & have fun"

Interesting how everyone posting stuff like this magically disappears when Doge gets to a really high value, but they all come from their little shit holes when it drops in value. Sounds more like anger than anything

Let's hope in 10 years we're all enoughly rich so you guys can stop being so serious.
Sure it's money.
Sure in a shitty capitalist world that have importance.

Doesn't intrinsically prevent to have fun as the same time.
Serious when needed, saying silly thing to laugh when need to relax.

Laughing is good for your health people.
Watch out! you gonna die!
Well, your body... nobody has a fucking clue of what change it makes.
Even if 99% is convince they know...

Delusional humanity
Live hidden live happy
See you in ten years

DOGE was the first of a new era of coins, it brought fresh new air into the thrill of mining by using high variability on the block rewards while using a fun and recognizable meme to back it.
People hate it because they missed the train and now all the coin newbs are releasing 10 new doge clones a day and all of them are a trainwreck (or should I say, a moonwreck?)

I honestly expect Dogecoin to bounce back, but only because it was one of the first popular meme-based coins. Not because I think it has any intrinsic value over the myriad other altcoins out there. I'll probably buy a few more when they're dirt cheap.

Well, I guess it is true that it was the first successful ump and dump.  And it seems to still have pools mining it.  So if they keep mining I could see it surviving but who knows if it will pick back up - are their service sites still going strong, like doge dice?

Doge has a lot more services than these new dump-quick-get-rich coins, and while everyone's lost interest in Doge now because of all the new exciting altcoins to mine, the truth is 99% of Altcoins are a flash in the pan. None of them will have any services beyond maybe faucets and exchanges. The coins that will last will be the ones that build micro economies. In time when the buzz has died down and the novelty wears off, the market will drift back to coins that have value beyond merely trading.

Dogecoin is a joke, but it's a joke that's built an infrastructure. The coins that did that will last. The copy-clone dead-in-a-week coins won't,.
