Post by: Caiapfas on December 31, 2013, 01:31:12 AM
Does anyone know where there are some USB miners for a realistic price? I want some to watch the pretty lights.

Elasticband is running a group buy for 0.08 BTC each for an Antminer U1 USB 1.6 GH/s in the merchant goods computer hardware section.

Bare in mine Europe only.

sorry bro, very unrealistic price if im honest.

30 x 333mhz = roughly 10ghash
4 x bit fury = 2.5ghash = 10 ghash

so you want to pay

20ghash x $15 is not for me :(

cant do it :)

i can retail this stuff in the uk for £1300+

but appreciate the offer

ty

That is not going to happen buddy. That price is too low. You need to spend over $8000 for a big miner to get any where near that price.

I agree with you both, but only noobs buy the 333mhs for anything above 5 bucks, but with that said sell them for what you can. if i had any 333mhs Id unload them before they are worthless

i am interested in the 2 gh sticks for a realistic price and what i mean by that is a realistic price for a person in the know
does hurt to ask, close mouths don't get fed

As I said, elasticband's group buy is doing Antminer U1 USB miners that run at 1.6GH overclockable to 2.1 GH or more.

For 0.08 BTC or less if buying in bulk, that's very good and a somewhat less by £30 than the ones on ebay!

USB miners have only 2 purposes....

1. Noob bait
2. Novelty item

Both of those tend to be overpriced....

Here are some for a relatively good price.

(If by "good price", you never intend to recoup your investment mining, but want to stare at them and/or flip on Ebay)
