Title: Happy New Year (CST) or: I haven't lied or spread falsehoods since bet was made.
Post by: Phinnaeus Gage on January 01, 2014, 06:00:01 AM
Quote
Bet between Inaba and Phinnaeus Gage.

Bet terms:  Bruno will refrain from posting false information until January 1st, 2014. False information is defined as posting any information that is false, incorrect or unverified, including overt, non-overt, implied, speculated or otherwise not backed by hard, verifiable facts and/or proof.  Posting any false or incorrect information, making any implications or posting any "speculation" or unverified information will result in an immediate loss of the bet. Posting anything other than verified and verifiable facts will result in a loss of the bet. Posting with any sockpuppet accounts, alternate accounts or trying to circumvent the bet through third party posting, whether paid or unpaid will result in an immediate loss of the bet.

The bet is considered satisfied and won on January 1st, 2014 UTC if and only if Bruno Kucinskas or his agents have posted no false, incorrect, or unverified information as stipulated above. Any other outcome is considered a loss on the part of Phinnaeus Gage as per the terms of the bet.

The bet is for 10 BTC.  If Phinnaeus wins, Inaba will pay 10 BTC to the BTC address of Phinnaeus choice.  If Inaba wins, Phinnaeus will pay 10 BTC to the BTC address of Inabas choice and request and accept a permanent ban from Bitcointalk staff willingly and without recourse or appeal.  If the Bitcointalk staff refuse to ban his accounts, for whatever reason, Phinnaeus will refrain from ever posting on Bitcointalk again, either as himself or any alternate accounts.

Feel free to double-check the ~900 posts I've penned since the bet was made on November 08, 2013, 09:48:31 PM (CST).

Now to see if he pays up. Assuming Inaba doesn't try to MNW his way out of the bet.

Lol what?

Seriously! Some bitcoiners have referred to the bet as a bribe. At the onset, I received a handful of PMs/emails suggesting that I shouldn't post anything at all to secure the win. I opted to post my ass off, calculating ~900 posts. If any one of them contained a lie, I'm sure Josh would have brought it up then, not waiting until January 1, 2014, to start reading ALL my posts penned since November 8th.

I'm pretty sure Josh will honor the bet, thus no worries. I sure the hell took a lot of heat from my fellow bitcoiners due to this gentlemen's bet.

I could see how people would see this as a bribe.

The same folks would really be pissed off if they learnt that while at Inside Bitcoins (LV) I told Josh excellent talk and later congratulated him/BFL for filling all the back-orders.

Is there a bounty available if I go through all your 900 posts and find a lie or untruth?  8)

Thank you Goat  ;)

So has Inaba/BFL_Josh paid you yet for your refraining to post anything negative about BFL ???

When do plan to visit Avalon or Hashfast ??? I imagine you get another 10BTC each from them too  ;D

Funny you bring it up. Luke and I are currently verifying the stats of the Baby Jet, well, mostly Luke is, while I pick my 5 remaining teeth using a Chinese dick as a toothpick, standing by, looking important.

Humor aside...

If you read the terms of the bet, you'll notice that BFL is not even mention, nor really implied, but perhaps slightly inferred, only because Josh of BFL penned it.

Here's the strange part. Once Josh penned it and PM'd me, shortly thereafter I read it only once and immediately agreed to the terms, never rereading what I agreed to until just prior to midnight, 2014, readying this thread for publication. It was then that I FULLY realized what I agreed to.

Like you, in my mind I thought it applied to BFL with other stringents measures thrown in good measures. Upon reading it for only the second time, I realized that Josh could possibly easily dissect a many of my ~900 posts, whereupon a war could have started.

But, I wouldn't know how all this would play out until I at least sent Josh a PM requesting payment. Guess what? ... Are you sitting down? ... He paid up.

I know how you feel about this being considered a bribe, so I'm not going to try to convince you otherwise. But, I will state that I do fine with my barn wood business, and most, if not all the monies I've received via BFL to date have, and will continue to go toward to charitable and other causes that are Bitcoin related directly or indirectly.

Honestly, Unacceptable, I'm not a prick in any sense of the word, and we are basically on the same team, albeit I'll probably will be holding my tongue toward BFL until the day they pack up in the middle of the night, so to speak, but for the sake of Bitcoin, we're all hoping that such doesn't take place. That's not to say that I won't be watching their almost every move, and if I see something that ain't right I won't pen a message to some member I trust to pass along to the community speaking on my behalf but from them.

I told Josh in my reply via PM after receiving payment that I will also not pen ill words about HashTrade, "leaving it at that", of which after this post I won't, leaving it up to others to do their due diligence, for I penned more than enough on that issue.

In closing, I want to restate that Josh has paid me in full--10 BTC--for losing the bet. For what it's worth, one way or another those coins and more will go toward Bitcoin related entities to further the cause.

Peace.

~Bruno Kucinskas

Look, everything anyone complains about here can be considered false information!!

None of us have any proof BFL/Hashfast or any other company is scamming or deceitful.

We cannot look at their bank statements,we cannot get sensitive info from suppliers,we cannot get anything concrete in writing or any other form  ::)

It's ALL speculation, gut feelings or personal experience/observation that we can post about, that's it!!!

So you took a bet for nothing, but greed.Sorry, that's how I see it.

The community lost a great voice for justice IMHO  :(

Evil does win & it has  :'(

Josh & BFL ARE evil,he was going to be the "voice of the miners & customers" when he hooked up with BFL & has since gone "corperate rogue"  >:(

He's in this to make money/BTC anymore. He'll be hardpressed to get into anything Bitcoin related after BFL is done with him  8) Unless it's another BFL like enterprise  :D

That's great that your "winnings" will be donated to charity, but it does NOT change the fact that you "sold out" in my eyes  :(

The same folks would really be pissed off if they learnt that while at Inside Bitcoins (LV) I told Josh excellent talk and later congratulated him/BFL for filling all the back-orders.

Excellent talk?  Did you actually listen to it?

Retailers will build their own mines for free transactions?
If 50% of miners decide to reject a transaction it will never process?

Josh's talk was a mangled mess that only demonstrated that he doesn't really understand bitcoin.
