If you had $10,000 today to invest in crypto, what coins, or tokens would you buy? Please keep it percentage based.

20% BTC

If I havef $10,000 today, I will start investing first in USDT. I'll wait for all the coins to landslide then I will rebuy them all from the bottom. Seems that this Bitcoin jump to 10k and 9k in the previous day was only a dead cat bounce. I believe in the next following days we would experience more dumps.

SUB and XMR is not a worthy investment in current scenario because lot of coins are dump in the market. But Monero is high value coin so it is not fit for the long term investment. I think you should analyse one more time it will help to choose the best platform.

It does not depend on the number of currencies or percentage but the opportunity:

That's right, we need to maximize our money by buying what is stated above, that would be my strategy too and if ever I would do a day trading and some would be allotted for holding it, I will maximize things as much as I can and would focus in my investment so that I can avoid a possible loss.

Man thats lot of money for the XMR alone. You might wanna switch your % with BTC and XMR to balance this portfolio. Also if I were you then instead of SUB I would add two more coins like XRP and ADA to the list. Many speculations are not positive about the XRP but hey come on look at the past and you will see it has come up with high prices many times and thus can bless you with huge profits in the first place. So I would really divide 10% into XRP and 10% into ADA as last option.

Your portfolio itself now is good enough but you should diversify it more, and do not concentrate it on xem and xmr. It would be better if you will lessen your XEM holding to 20%, your XMR  to 20%, and then put those money into another coin with potential (like ETH). It could be anything(so long as you have done your research on it before investing), even an token from an ICO would do(if you see huge potential for it).

I will leave that amount for awhile and try to learn the things that i am lacking, but eversince most people are likely to put it all in trading without having experience and not knows what actually is good to buy and plenty of the times that they are buying that coins that have a high price and being hype becausenof its attractive speculations.

It takes an experienced trader to see the dump and its conclusion. Sometimesgood the market still has a good moment going but if not properly checked with market understanding, one can think the dump has already happened.

Whatever you do, do not put it in any ICOs. They suck and 99% of are known to be fake. Also, don't HYIP scheme because you won't receive anything but a middle finger in your face when they take all your money

You should prioritize bitcoin and ethereum they are solid that it will increase in the future run of the bull market, buy when the price is not crossing the $10,000 plus of bitcoin wait for some dips to maximize your capital and the potential ROI, try those top coins that lurks around $1 below, spread your investments don't just stick around to four options, the percentage that you allocated to bitcoin is not reasonable in my opinion.

You need to choose new cryptocurrencies that have recently ended ICO, they have a good chance of growth.

And more than 50% chance to disappear- check statistics

With $10,000 to invest I would share into different coins but for sure I won't waste my time and money with an ICO. I would invest 60% in 3-4 established cryptos well know and popular. And 40% in 2-3 cryptos not so famous but which I think it has a great potential. For example, you mentioned Monero, I assume you like privacy coins, Zencash is one of the cryptos focused on privacy with a great potential.

I can say that your chosen coins are good enough and can deliver both in short and log span of time, if I have that money I guess I'll add some waves and neo as I see also some great future coming from those progressing alts project, I'll give both around 10% sharing it with sub and xmr, diversify and creating more options are really needed when you start planning for your holdings, better to learn each aspect that will lead you to gain more edge and lessen the risk of your investment.

I will put the most part of it bitcoin  because I do believe that the price of bitcoin will increase highly at the future. Will use the small part of it for investing in ICO project.

Think also about exchanges coins like bnb or huobi coin. BNB is beeing burried every quarter (deflation character). Its second biggest exchanges which is planning to be decetralized (higher demand - higher prices). It is usefull coin (reduces fees). Current price is quite pumped but after small dump it could be great long term investment.


Im not so sure about etherum. There is neo and others trying to overtake it. Remeber etherum is not finished project jet. It still need its code to be corrected.

If I had $10,000 today to invest in crypto,I will check price of every coins with the past.I don't want to take risk being a beginner.I will inverse that 10000$ in bitcoin.If the price of bitcoin increase 1000$,I will get that entire 1000$ as a profit.Because the price is less than 10k$,I will get more than 1 bitcoin.

I'd put it all into BTC or maybe 90% BTC and 10% ETH, as ETH is one of those coins that are likely to go their own way, have a lot of forks and drift away from BTC.
Why I would ignore the huge altcoin world and just put it all into BTC? Because they are all tightly connected. If BTC drops in value to extreme lows, the whole altcoin market will do the same. You can earn more on altcoins than BTC, but if it all goes to hell it won't matter which coin you chose.

It is very hard decision because for me it is a huge amount of money, but I think I would ask some of my close friends to give me advices about that.

10000$ is a very nice sum and I wouldn't experiment too much with it.
About 70% of the sum I would invest in Bitcoin and the rest of it in Ethereum. Those two are to my opinion still the best and the most profitable investment. I have no interest in other coins and I don't think they are worth much money and efforts. I mean there are some other few good coins but they are just short term investment and demand too much analysis and potential risk and at the end you can't know whether the decision was good.

If we do go for long term then this would be the ideal thing to do because this top 1 and 2 coins would really somehow give you assurance that this coins will really bloom out even more in the future which would possible the adoption will increase but there are really people who dont like up to wait but rather choosing up to make active trades into some various altcoins in the market.If you are always planning to get rich on trading or investing then you must still pass lots of experience and problems.

if I have $ 10k then I will use it into two parts, trading and investing into ICO. I think 50% in trade to hold ethereum and neo in the long run. and the rest I will invest into ICO that has good potential and a good team too.

If i have that big money. I will invest it all in ethereum. Simply because i believe that this altcoin can take yhe place of bitcoin in the future. And i plan to hold it fir a long time.

I would only be in those coins, but if I had more capital then I would invest in lisk and stratis


ETH has a big potential

If I were you, I will diversify my capital in ICOs. It can give greater return than those coins which are already in the market. But it also possesses greater risks. Just make your research first on a certain ICO and read their whitepaper. Gems are usually in the ICO.

I put 50% into Btc to reduce the risk of investing,I would suggest it to any one.
Then 35% Eth , Because it's the main platform for many ICOs.
The rest is personal , everyone has an idea , But i would not suggest you buy more than 4 coins with the rest 25% because the power of your money reduce as you slice it into pieces , besides when the capital is big you don't need to seek for bigger percentages and increase the risk of your trading .

If I had $10,000 I'd probably invest more in bitcoin than any other digital coin. So basically my portfolio would look around like this:

BTC - 40%

XEM - 20%

SC - 20%

Ethereum - 20%

For now that is what my portfolio would like but I am having second thoughts on Ethereum if I am going to increase it to around 25% and SC would be 15% instead.

If I have that funds to start trading, I rather invest the almost 50 percent of it into bitcoins and the other 50  in altcoins, maybe 3-5 altcoins i will choose. Don't always rely on bitcoin or on a single altcoin only because it can cause you a losses in your funds if your coins has dump out. That's why it is better to have a reserved altcoins so that your funds will not loss as fast as it can.

10,000$ is a huge money indeed for me. If I have a money with that huge, I will invest 60% of it in the top 50 coins, 20% in the bottom 100 coins and 20% in trading. I allocated 60% in the top 50 coins because they are the most trusted coins and many believe that investing here will give them huge profit in the future. I choose 20% in bottom 100 because some of the coins in the bottom 100 are called "hidden gems". As a trader, I allocated 20% for trading. As usual, Do your own research in investing.

Man, I would make another choice. IF I had 10 thousand, I'd spread the money like this:
- 30% Ethereum;
- 10% Bitcoin;
- 20% Lisk;
- 20% Komodo;
- 20% NEO.
Of course, this is just MY choice.

I don't usually participate in threads like this, as they just tend to turn into idiotic lists that are meaningless, but here goes.

50% bitcoin.  It's the only crypto that's going to survive if/when sentiment goes sour.  The rest of the altcoins are going to be toast if people suddenly stop believing in cryptocurrency.

25% Dash.  This is still a coin that I like, though I know it makes people foam at the mouth at its mere mention.  It may not be an entirely rational affection on my part, but it's real nonetheless.  Seems like being a masternode is a good deal, but at this point it would be quite expensive.

25% NOT in crypto.  The remainder wouldn't be much, but I'd plow it into the stable of good dividend-paying stocks that I already own.  Crypto provides zero income, only potential capital gains.  Income is important, especially to an old fart like myself.
That's smart.  That's another form of income that I've never tried (and never would, since you need to do upkeep and all that), but if that's your thing then there's money to be made.

I'll stack 50% in Btc, because bitcoin is the best investment of all time. So why not choosing it? Hold it for 2 years then I'm filty rich. 20% Eth, this is the second best investment for me. They have a good blockchain in which some coins are following the path of this one. 20% NEO, one word, China, they're the best in business. 10% other sht coins that might grow. Buy a shitcoin that's worth lower than a dollar, then wait for it to boom.

I will put my money into BTC trading because it's where I think I can make profit,either by holding or trading bitcoin.

I am bitcoin trader from long.So I will choose bitcoin to inverse that entire 10,000$.As a bitcoin trader we know,the price of bitcoin will not stable at any value.In the next raise,easily get the profit.In bitcoin investment,we will get profit in short term compared to altcoin.

You can see that the market in recent days is fluctuating continuously, bitcoin prices are constantly adjusting in a very large amplitude, so to trade successfully is very difficult. If I am fresh and I have $10,000 I would like to put my money most of into the altcoin I like to invest more than 90% into the altcoin trading and 10% in to the bitcoin because I think from altcoin you have maximum chances to earn more profits,

Bitcoin trading means are saying that you do trade for btc to fits cash on any exchange. I do not see any people giving this kind of suggestion for trading. This itself showing that you are newbie trading mate.
If you want invest on trading, check the most spiked dump coins at the present time now. You may invest on those coins now.
If you look at the market place movement after few months also it is better one for us. Currently most of the coins undervalued please find yours now.

If you want to buy different cryptos choose those belong on top 10 or 20, like btc, ethereum, eos, litecoin and monero. I guess it is nice to buy now while crptos just started to recover again and if dump again hold until t recovers and no worries because your cryptos are on top already so it is impossible to be wasted.

I would avoid bitcoin as there isn't much hype left with bitcoin , not having any developer support it just feels useless , what i would do is invest

I will invest 5000, which is halve of it into bitcoins ,the king of cryptocurrency. I then use 3000 for Ether and the remainder 2000 to be shared among an ICOs that has a good rating and has been able to raise fund for their soft cap target. Such ICOs are likely to succeed.

I choose 25% BTC, 20% ETH, 15% XMR and I'll keep the rest as back up fund. You should have back up fund to recovery asset, buy back after down trend and maybe to pay bill. Replace all asset into crypto is not good step, sometimes we must face unpredictable condition that can make us lost our control.

You an always keep some money in savings and try to put only 50% of this amount and try to reach specific goals, such as turning your 5K USD into 10K USD. If you reach then take the profit and re-invets. Keep doing this and you will see great effects ahead.

You an always choose Top 10 Coins to invest in without even asking for anything extra. Like your portfolio it is still good one but try to add some undervalued coins as well which are more prone to spike in the future and give you heavy profits rather than costly coins today. For example, TRX, IOS, JNT, etc.

Well, based on my experience, capital determine what will you get in the future, small capital will give you small profit and huge capital will give you huge profit. This is really hard thing specially for newbie. I ever use $10,000 and make it $12,000 in one month by invest with this strategy:

I wish and I have a hope about bitcoin. So, without any hesitation, I would invest 70% on bitcoin and 30% on Ethereum.
The most perfect reason is I like the top two currency. Previous history of Bitcoin and Ethereum really awesome. So that, I want to invest in that coin. I suggest who wants a recommendation for better profit.

Stay out of the alts. In the long term BTC will be the only one standing.

Maybe keep like 1% ETH, however in my opinion, ETH is overpriced and might decrease in the future.

If I were to have that amount, I think these tokens are worth to invest as of now:

50% - Ethereum
25% - Bitcoin Cash
15% - Litecoin
5% - NEO
5% - XEM

This is just my own instinct though as I want to take advantage of these top 20 altcoins that are performing well in the market.

Never rely on BTC alone because you may not want to experience putting all of your eggs in a single basket.

this should be the first that you follow when it comes to investing in crypto. put your trust to one coin which is the main of all. if i have to scatter the 10K I'd probably put 20% to NEO and all to BTC. its probably a good time to buy BTC now that its almost time to make its price rise. Actually ETH is something that is gong to get rebranding after its master Vitalik publishes the news regarding scale up of its network. This will change many things and will allow more transaction to flood in at the same time. This is step closer to beating giant transaction companies in the world.

There is no problem at all while investing money into the ETH and there is no way to say that it is overpriced.

If I were starting fresh (and since I am fresh) the coins that I want to put on my money that worth $10,000 are :
Bitcoin,Ethereum, Litecoin,Neo and Zcash , I believe that these coins will give me a big profit so these are the coins I want to buy or put up my money.

invest all in bitcoin and then if you wanted to trade you use a portion of those coins that you are comfortable with taking risk on, to invest in different coins which are getting pumped. for example you buy 1.176BTC with $10k and move the 1 whole bitcoin to cold storage and use the 0.176BTC to trade. you can invest it in one or two different altcons during their pumps and get out 0.2BTC then another and so on. when you reach a higher profit (like making 0.2 or 0.5BTC) you withdraw some of it to cold storage and keep some for trading.

If I am fresh I will never jump with 10,000 USD straight away rather I will start with a small capital. Jumping with huge capital is a mistake made by many new newbies and they end up losing the major part of it.

If I am starting fresh with $10000, I will not gamble my choice. I will definitely put 95% of $10000 Ib bitcoin while I play with remaining 5%  by investing in ICO. I believe there is huge room for price rise of bitcoin in the nearest future!

Brother just make the mark. You are up with the best coin in history of crypto. There are so many people who come and ask you to review your decision, bitcoins aren’t that much helpful and blah. If I have $ 10k, I will not trade. I will invest in ICO and invest in Bitcoin. Because I have no experience in investing. I am always affected psychologically when the market goes down. So I will invest in ICO.

No, Bitcoin does not give such a great profit than the altcoins. if you invest this great sum of money in the alts, your income will be at least twice bigger than in case, if you would deal only with BTC.

There is no such hard and fats rule which can help you in making the bets possible decision. It is you who needs to decide this thing as the money belongs to you and that it will be you who will either earn more money or will lose the money. In that case, you need to look for the coins which can help you in having more profit and the coins which have got more potential to rise like that of bitcoin, ETH etc.

That was some very useful stats. There are hundreds of options available to a new investor but only few of them are profit promising in reality and all those are the renowned asset of crypto coin world. From time to time, we have witnessed what these coins are capable of and all of them are still moving in the forward direction in order to touch the next target. These are the coins that laid foundation of today's crypto market. I am talking about BTC, ETH, and LTC etc.

That is a huge amount to invest. Do not go for a single coin but a diverse portfolio. Go for Bitcoin, ETH, ripple and few more which you think are profitable to invest in. The reason behind this is that when you have a diverse portfolio, and there is a fall in the prices of one coin, the loss will not be able to make you worry about the invested money and you might not face the same loss in the remaining assets.

If i had $10,000 then need to find best atlcoin to invest especially on bitcoin as well 'cause for me priority is bitcoin because of being so volatile that always give me profits. so perhaps for me on bitcoin is 50% and the rest is on token such jibrel, bouts pro and etc of course token is for long term that's why need to put the half percent to bitcoin to obtain quick profits.

I think the safest and surest way for you to make sure that you get a profit, especially since it's your starting investments is to go for gold with the established ones, specifically the ones mentioned above, most especially, Bitcoin. The amount of money you can shed out fits for the price point of Bitcoin, and surely, once it surges in value after sometime, you will see a fat profit coming your way. Don't try to invest on new coins just yet, especially since you don't have a good feel for the market yet, being that you are a beginner.

Splitting always better to avoid a huge loss at once , well you can always do more investment in Bitcoin and the rest on several altcoins , that's a wise action for me.
If you want to make a risky move to get bigger outcome then just look for new launched / invented coins , ico , it frequently gives you a fortune , bought for 1 cent and sell it all at $10 , that's a risky investment but always worth as long as you put the money that you can really afford to lose.

The best and the wisest decision that someone can make in his whole life. Only with this one step, a person can turn himself into a millionaire and more. Bitcoin has already done that with its holders. Even a simple holding of this asset can bring tremendous profits. If I were you, I would take 50% bitcoin for my number 1 investment and the rest you should pick among the top 20 coins in the coin market cap. I would include ethereum, LTC, Lisk and Komodo. Those coins that you mentioned are not doing well except bitcoin. Substratum's hype is also dead as well. I would go all in with bitcoin and other altcoins that I know that could get me much more profit.

yes you are right if I have that much capital I better divide the capital that I have, by dividing the capital owned then the profits you get will also be very much because not left behind if there is a moment of increase in the other coin.

Since you are specifying in the title that I will start fresh then that will mean that I will be a newbie without experience and in that case the strategy is very simple I will invest 100% in bitcoin wait for it to skyrocket and use that time to try to learn as much as a I can so I can invest in other altcoins that is the only strategy that makes sense to me.

You must have 50% money Free in every condition
Don't do all investment at a time, first bought very small amount then more when a good dip available without any FOMO
If you missed any coin then forget about it until you will get a good dip again

Normally, I will invest 50% of my capital in BTC. But with the current market situation, I will choose to invest more in altcoins since the prices dipped more than Bitcoin.

with this amount, I think it's better to scatter a Deposit of 10 coins. 30% of them can include famous ones such as bitcoin, Ethereum. The remaining amount to scatter on altcoins.

I think there is no need to start with this huge amount, you have to spend time to understand that which coin may be fruitful for you can ability to give you good return as well. I think try to participate in any good ICO with some handsome amount, you must get good returns / earnings from it.

This is right investing into bitcoin and altcoins but I don't prefer investing in an Ico's. Buying bitcoin is a good choice and look for altcoins which is indeed profitable. Always diversified and don't put your funds in one basket.

if I have that much capital I will definitely use for trading in coin which has a very high trading volume and safe for trading because with the movement of coin that snagat fast you can get a very fast profit. i will put it in bitcoin everything.

If you have this much amount of money and that you have made up your mind to invest this money, then it is better to invest this much of the money into such crypto coins which can then help you in making some good profit at the end. You need to do lot of research and that you must study about different crypto coins. Only then you can expect that you will be able to make some better choice.

Thats a lot of money I guess. I think I will start putting my money into the ETHER first, as it is the next big thing this year. Bitcoin is good investment but I believe in trying something different which can profit me more. There are many other coins which are more dominant in giving us the profits that we want, for example, NEO, very cheap coin and with the same investment which I may do in the bitcoin if did in the NEO then I can always earn big time from it. NEO is cheap and getting to higher prices wouldn't be that hard for the NEO as compared to others. So ETH, NEO, XRP, DASH are the names that I would suggest here.

There have many coin you want to buy like as waves,eth,btc.if you have $10000.But i think the best time to trade on btc-usd or eth usd and hope anyone get profit from trading.This week bitcoin still running on 7000-8000$ so if you have some usd go ton trading platform and make the profit but this time not for altcoin without eth.So make your own decision to buy any coin or token

I would say avoid BTC at the moment, analysts say it may go down further, so If you want more profits and ready to take a risk, wait to see if the analysts are right or not. Other than BTC, go ahead with various coins, better not to restrict to 4-5 coins only, there are several coins and I have 8-9 coins on my favourite list, which have great upsurge potential.

I would probably put all $10000 in ethereum. The value of ethereum today is cheaper than before. And it can grow even more in the future. And i believed in ethereum so i will go all in.

Having 50% of your money doing nothing is a big mistake, that money is losing value thanks to inflation at most you must have 10'% of your money free so you can take advantage of opportunities that appear suddenly on the market but before doing that it is critical that you study the market as much as possible that way you are not going to make big mistakes when you are just starting out your journey.

I like to invest safely, If I hold ETH do you think I will make a high profit? I think people should not look for any other coin, holding ETH is the most potent and safest coin for everyone, they rise and fall steadily, other coins depend on the price of ETH, So do not invest much altcoin.

Though it is a star for me to have $10,000 right now, I want to put here my opinion. Since this is the first I will invest in cryptocurrency, I want coins which have more assurances. Putting in bitcoin, ethereum and top 10 listed coins in CMC is my priority because they have potential to grow. I think that first of all you need to buy bitcoin, 100% of the amount. Further based on the situation, you can distribute it to the altcoyins. If I had spare $10,000 right now, I would put 4k into ETH, 3k in BTC and devide residue amongst alts of your choice, let's say I would pick 5. So all together, 7 assets to look up to.

For me it's good to spread all my 10,000$ if I have that. I'm not focusing on one, at least if one of my HOLDINGS trend ups I make profit, but if one is trends downs it's totally Bad. But HOLDING is the best way to earned a LOT.

I do not think USDT is a coin worth investing in. In recent times, there has been a lot of news that the exchanges will remove the USDT because USDT has added a lot of coins and without any notice to anyone.

Honestly, $10k is a huge amount so even I have a spare money I just invest the 70% of it in cryptos and the remaining will be put in a business that can give me a passive income while my coins are growing. It's very lucrative to invest in cryptos when you know you'll gain more but I can't afford to lose that such amount so I wanna be in safe side.

I think this year's investment in ICO projects will be more profitable than trading or long-term financing. Earlier this year most ICO projects failed because Bitcoin prices fell. but perhaps from now to the end of this year, invest  ICO is a hot topic

here is my portfolio below if i have $10k as my initial investment

50% for bitcoin
30% for ETH
20% for upcoming ICO which mean those ICO should be legit project to ensure my money won't disappears and i believe in the middle plenty of scam ICO i still able to find ICO project with potential give me profit

If I have $ 10k, I will never bring it all into the investment. I will divide it for investment in ICO projects, trading and investment securities. $ 10k for a transaction is too large and that is extravagance. Divide all and invest in some potential areas that will bring a lot of profit. Besides, you will have more opportunities to learn about new areas. ;D

You need to maximise the money you have by implementing selling strategies if it is an altcoin. If it is an established coin, you need to analyse the market trends and try to get profit out of it. If i hold $10,000 in my account, i will rather splitting them to purchase the coins in percentage wise, i will buy Ether to buy best altcoins of the Market at the right time.

If i have that amount to be invested in crypto I would invest 70 percent of it to bitcoin since I am longing to own a bitcoin eversince so better try my luck in investing. Above all of the coins I believe that bitcoin has its greatest potential. While another 30 percent of it to be invested in Eth because for me eth was second next to bitcoin.

The distribution of the ten thousand dollars is done on the basis of the condition of the market if the market is in a bleeding state than 1000 would go altogether to a safe coin with low price value and more liquidity otherwise some would go to bitcoin and rest to altcoins

Since the coins.ph wallet I am currently using now can only store 3 kinds of coins, namely; BTC, ETH and BCH, I will divide that amount into three. BTC - 40%, ETH - 30%, and BCH - 30%. These coins are in the top 5 list in coinmarketcap so I believe these are promising coins that might give me a bag of money in the long run.

I will probably out 50% of it into ethereum and 50% to bitcoin. Because this two crypto is the best in the market. And i believe that i can get some huge profit in the future.

You already have a good choice but try to invest with ETH,  NEO and other altcoins with a minimum of 10% for each investment.  Try to do it,  i hope it will work for you and will love to do it too.

If I have 10k to invest I will invest the 50%in bitcoin and 50% in altcoin s but in a different coins. So I will get a good earnings especially now that the crypto market is recovering from bearish.

I can give you a breakdown on the example of my portfolio. 30% btc, 25% eth, 20% dth, 15% gen and 10% (card, omx, midex, rebl). from dth and gen I expect strong growth, at least 10.

If I have up-to $10000 in my possession and I want to invest in any business I will put the money in bitcoin and ethereum.  I didn't know more about other coins in trading on others assets but I know of bitcoin and ethereum and I have been following there prices.

I think if I have such big money then I would invest in 100% bitcoin, you can see that the market is in the bearish cycle and only the bitcoin is uptrend in the short term, almost all altcoin are falling sharply. That's why I think we should invest in bitcoin to get the most secure and risk-free income. The more capital you have, the harder it is for you to manage your capital, so you will be less likely to fail in trading.

I would probably put 33% in Bitcoin, 33% in Ethereum and split the remaining 34% between Peculium, Iota, and Oyster Pearl.  I like to have a bulk of my account in the safest and steadiest coins.

Both are things that must be taken as investments because of their great potential in the future but if you want big profits in the short term. you can take a few percent of your money and grow in other new altcoins. usually new altcoin that are potential. the  prices can rise up to hundreds of percent
