Title: [NEW POOL] What coin do you want a pool on
Post by: myrinx on January 02, 2014, 11:45:03 AM
I'm setting up a new pool as we speak; and haven't decided yet for what coin. So i thought lets ask here :)

Please reply and let me know for which coin you like to have a pool set up!

Obviously i will make multiple pools; 1 per server. Most votes get the first pool

We are looking for a long time for 'Bernankoin' (BEK), Can you add it?

i'm compiling the deamon right now. Lets see if we can have this puppy going.

Is the koin traded somewhere yet? I obviously like to get my hosting costs for the server covered when running this pool, haha :D

EDIT: compilation failed, file missing in the source (gmp.h). means i cannot make the deamon and thus cannot make the pool at this point...

I have to ask - why?  Bernankoin is not a coin designed to have value.

the source also doesn't allow me to make a working deamon; so its impossible to make a pool for it...

Its common error because pool was compiled with email confirmation implemented, its just need to be turned off, lets give some time myrinx to sleep, he works with it whole day

Awake and fixed. You should be able to log in.

I've disable the email thingy for now, will fix it in a few hours.

The invalids now in the pool are mine. I hooked cgminer and poolerip for a few minutes. Will do the right miner too in a few.

I hope this works. Yac_scrypt was installed and all looked ok aactually.

Fingers crossed guys!

Will check why shares are rejected.

You're mining with the miner that supposed to he used with this coin, right? Cgminer doesn't work.

it's because of the qqcoin deamon which is scrypt-jane.

when doing a normal litecoin testnet; it all works fine.

it's weird. when i disable the message in the source; shares get accepted... just don't know if blocks will be hit, haha :) as the hashrate shows 1000x higher in MPOS than what they should be (mhs instead of khs) ...

EDIT: It sort of looks OK now!

Who wants to spend 5 minutes hashing on the pool please? My power isn't high enough and would like to see what multiple workers do on the stratum!

i'm throwing 500khs on it right now, and that takes a while for a block :)

Throw like 10Mhs power in janes scrypt, lets see  ::)

With current difficulty and hashpower (for example closed from registration pool has more than 1200 MHashes atm) it may take some time  ::)
i donno how many hidden from community pools we has also )

pools isn't closed from registration :)

but we will see how (if) fast we can have something. I will start to worry if we're over 300%... than we have very very bad luck.

it's annoying that the deamon doesn't show the total network hashing rate :(

NEXT:

Ok, what other pool can we do? a simple scrypt pool would be nice :D that shows to everybody that my intentions are real and that we have nothing to hide, haha :D

I would like to request a SkeinCoin. [SKC] pool. Currently there is only one pool, and ppl mine frantically on it. (skc.coinmine.pl). If you would be able to create a pool for skeincoin, I'm sure that there is some "Mitigate the risk bounty for it" or I will start a donation round. Either way. SkeinCoin NEEDS a second pool. And I think I could convince 20% of the current hashrate to start mining at your pool.

Are you sure you've set workers etc? We're finding multiple blocks per hour usually. Because there is only 1 coin per block; it depends on your hashrate what you get.

check the stats for blocks and pool; you see people finding blocks and earning coins.

QQC Pool  Runs smoothly at ~100mhs
RPC Pool kicks the coins butt at ~950mhs
