thanks

Any advice for a place where to learn how to play this game, please?  The rules at the website aren't enough for me to get the mecanisim of the game.

Welp, so much for that.  I put in 2 BTC and was up and down all night until I hit a severe losing streak that bankrupted me.  Mostly due to the rule that if I bust I automatically lose even if the dealer would have busted as well.

But it was still fun while it lasted.  Thanks for the enjoyment.

Put in one more Bitcoin, nearly lost it all again, went all-in, had amazing luck, won it all back, currently breaking even.  Probably about the best one can expect for a gambling game.  I'm happy at least.

Title: Re: Buying up cheap coins? Play your hand at Bitjack21 BlackJack!
Post by: Ricochet on February 23, 2012, 02:07:51 AM
Just as a quick note: I believe the cards are dealt according to a fairly random distribution, and most definitely not based on a single deck, based on the fact that I've seen the Ace of Hearts twice in the same hand.  I do not know how many decks are used for the randomization, but it's more than one.

Thanks Andrew for your previous gift of a few chips (at the time of my last post in this thread), as it helped me stay in the game long enough to reclaim my losses to a small degree.

Losing all the value of your coins and don't give a fuck anymore?

Come on over and play at https://bitjack21.com/ 1BTC sign on bonus for players who deposit more then 10BTC.
"The 'house edge' with this ruleset is razor thin, less than 0.5%, have fun!"
So, theoretically, i should be able to profit from this? :p

Love the site, always a fun and fair game!

Not sure if it's possible, but a few things I'd really like to see...

Any chance you'd ever consider adding multi-player table tournaments? Say 6 people on a table, possibly multiple tables and rounds if there are enough players!?

I'd love to see a surrender option... Any chance of seeing that option? (I can hope)

House rules where the dealer hits a soft 17? I play at my local casino almost every night and it's weird seeing the dealer staying on a soft 17! Not sure I've ever seen this at any other casino...

Also, how about being able to choose multi-denom table options? I think I remember reading somewhere that you need to keep a 1:32 or so ratio (2-50, 3-75, 4-100, etc) but would you be able to offer the player the option to "sit at" a higher (or lower) stakes table?

A referral program would be really cool too! I've sent a number of people from sealswithclubs (BTC Poker Site) to bitjack21. Either a payout per player, or small portion of their losses would be cool!

Anyways, thanks for the kickass site and all your help/support! I'm fairly new but I can tell you're a standup guy as you've always gotten back to me with help right away!

OMG, I've played a lot of blackjack in my life but wow... never realized how unlucky I could be!

Doubles, slits, you name it I lost them ALL the last few times I played  :-\ enjoy the 15-20BTC or so, don't think I can afford to keep this up anymore for right now!

BTW, any idea why the site has been so slow the last week or so? Maybe it's just me, but switching to Chrome sped things up a while back but the past few days it has been almost unplayable and I've had to refresh constantly?!

Thanks Andrew!

...and that's the reason I keep coming back ;) Unlike any of the other sites out there, I know I can always count on you!

Luckily for me, most of the BTC I lost I won by pure luck over at satoshidice so I'm not out too much personally. I'm just wishing I had bet more when I started playing at bitjack! There were days I had won 50 hands in a row but I was betting small, just my luck to catch a bad run at .5 - 1BTC a hand lol!

I have to agree, its a great blackjack implementation. I love the hashing system used as well.
Its been awhile since Ive played but Ive found it very similar to my few casino outings, few small wins then the house floors me :P

Backyard games are way more fun ;) but when you need a quickie bitjack21 is one of my favourites.

However, the minimum bet appears to be .02 BTC and is misrepresented multiple times around the website :P

Something I'm wondering about -

I understand that the client seed/server seed/SHA256 hash and all that text is somehow there to prove that the game was dealt fairly, but I can't seems to figure out how those characters actually relate to the cards that are dealt. Would someone be kind enough to walk through the process? I did find a SHA256 calculator here: http://www.xorbin.com/tools/sha256-hash-calculator

Hey, just making sure you're still here.  Made a withdrawl request right around the time of my last post (almost 72 hours ago) and have not seen anything on my client or BlockExplorer for the address I requested payment to (confirmed by the email notification to be correct, so it's not like I drunkenly sent them to my deposit address by mistake).  I'm not too worried, but it has elapsed the quoted 24 hour time window almost thrice over by now.

EDIT:  Heh, well that was fast turnaround.  Funds received, thanks.

So... I had a few coins in my bitjack21 account... and they appear to have disappeared.   I noticed a notice on the website that says there was an issue "syncing" some accounts after an upgrade.

I emailed the support account yesterday, and sent andrew a PM on here today, but havn't heard anything back.

Anyone know a better way to get ahold of Andrew?

and I am going to try getting a backup of the wallet to get the coins back but there is no guarantee I will be successful

For future reference is it best practice to make backups before disasters happen, not try to get them after the fact.  It seems the Bitcoin community keeps making this mistake over and over again.  I wonder why we can't learn from each other's mistakes.

Whenever you're responsible for a wallet, make backups.  Whether it's your coins or other people's.  That's all...

Back and better then ever!! Give it a spin and try your luck, better odds then if pirate a ponzi!

A withdrawal of 4.01 BTC is now queued for manual processing and will be sent within 24 hours to address ........

This message was sent to me yesterday at noon, 24 hour window has come and gone.  Not worried yet, just thought I would bring your attention to it.

EDIT: Just received the coinage.  THANKS ANDREW!!!

EDIT AGAIN:  Another 2 days have passed since last withdrawl attempt... I really hope you can get this resolved.  Payout amount currently overdue > 33BTC.  Screenshots of payout screen and copies of emails confirming withdrawl to follow.

Total withdrawl amount is well over BTC133 !!!

I too have had my share of slow payouts from this site. They did ultimately pay out everything properly though and I was never cheated. I moved my blackjack action to https://www.bc-casino.com/, even though their rules are slightly more favorable to the house and I hate the "dealer doesn't peek for blackjack" rule. They are excellent for speed of cashout, though.

Bitzino is also nice and pays out quickly even if their interface is sort of plain and unexciting.

I got the sense that bitjack21 is just an afterthought and the operator is sort of half assed in his management of it. After several withdrawal delays, I just quit playing there. The best thing I can say about the site is that the server is so slow that it really saves you a lot of money when you're running bad. bc-casino is so fast that you can have some giant swings in a short amount of time.

I've also woken up to find "free money" in my account a few times after a particularly bad run at bc-casino. They didn't want me to get away, I guess.  8)

In any event, I hope you get your money back. You probably will...once Andrew gets around to it.

Well for a withdrawl of this size, I sure hope it gets handled.  I would hate for a site to get blacklisted and get scammer tagged all over his forum account...

Do you know of anywhere that lists all the places you can play blackjack for bitcoin along with all the rules of each site, calculated house edge, and min and max bet sizes?  That would be useful to see.

Maybe you could bribe mem to do it, I tried bitjack based on his recommendation... Hopefully the house edge isn't 100% there based on non-payment of withdrawls.... I will edit this post once payment is made btw.

I'm confused, who needs what now? I reset the house balance which was considerably negative.  When the house balance is under the amount of available coins on the site is when you get those withdraw delay emails and I have to manually put a payment through.  Thanks.

Can you put my payment through? Or do I need to send you copies of my emails from your server?

Have you emailed your problems to bitjack21@gmail.com? When I had issues with a slow payout I was able to resolve them via email at that address. Granted, it took him a couple days to check the address, but he eventually made good on his debt once we emailed back and forth a couple times.

It's alarming that this is still dragging on. I thought for sure you'd come to a resolution by now. If you don't get it settled soon, I'd suggest you initiate scammer proceedings to get him tagged. He is actively looking for loans for some projects, so he does have some incentive to appear respectable to others.

Well I don't know why he didn't e-mail me what he was doing but "he"(assuming) just credited my bitjack account for the 0.29BTC witch was assuming his withdrawal fee applied already but what ever I played a few more hands and got my fee and next withdrawal fee back. I never would have logged in again to the site since I wasn't going to play/deposit there again if I can't count on getting my money back.

At least he made good on my withdrawal I might or might not be playing here again at least my luck here is better than bitZino the sheer number of 13,15and 16's I've gotten there is statistically impossable.

We'll see/root for you DOH! let us know if you get your coins. It'll probably be the deciding factor if I play here again.

Well I only notice the coins in the account last night withdrew them same day (after a few hands) got a confirmation this time about the withdrawl but as of this writing still no coins in my wallet.

I have a bunch of coins still in my bitjack account waiting for withdrawl, so in my opinion crediting your account is still scammer-tag worthy.

Well, he was active on the forum a little over 2 hours ago, so avoid replying to you seems a bit odd.

On the off chance that 'The House' had a run of bad luck, he may need to acquire more BTC to payout bets, or is perhaps waiting for new deposits. Unfortunately, this news in regards to payouts won't have the desired affect to build the house bankroll back up if you are not treated fairly.

Best of luck.

PS. Words of advise from a fellow 'hot-head' ;) ...... give him a bit of time, as I said, he could be short of coins or busy at the moment.

There's a very interesting and informative post here:
  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=87656.msg1145478#msg1145478
about how a gambling site can make sure that they have an almost zero chance of ever running out of coins to pay winners out with.

SURPRISE!! I decided to log on to the site today and make another withdrawl, I was able to get 3 out before the dreaded "pending transaction" screen started rearing its ugly head.  The scam accusation still stands until all pending withdrawls are paid out, however.

Players have recently won a lot more then what the server has available, if a withdraw does not go through try a smaller amount or wait a week and try again.

Grow your bankroll then.  I have already waited a week and a half!!!! You owe me over 133btc, not to mention today's withdrawls! Get your shit together man!

This!

Don't accept bets you can't afford to lose.  If you don't have the bankroll to offer blackjack at the stakes you offer, reduce the maximum bet to a level you can afford.  It's not right to gamble with money you don't have.

Yay! I saw this thread and decided to play a bit :)

Put in 3 BTC

Now requested 13 BTC withdrawl!!!

=D

Good for the house that the maximum bet is 1 BTC, otherwise I would get more BTC :P (I usually stop after I win some maximum bets where I am betting 10% of my bankroll... So if the maximum bet was 10 BTC I would take out about 110 or 120 BTC :P)

there is no reason to be rude or accusatory about it

Jumping on the guy and slandering him does nobody good and might scare off betters

I don't know if you were replying to me or not.  I don't mean to be rude, but stand by what I wrote.

I guess you meant libelling him (slander is spoken, not written), and libel involves making false statements.  It's not libellous to say "this casino is too slow to pay its debts" if that is indeed the case.

Andrew only had a bad run...

But he still have the house edge.

If you play blackjack for many years, probably you will end losing more than winning, even if you have perfect strategy for each particular rule you know.

The key here is slow to pay. He is paying out. You just have to be really really patient at the moment, it appears that he ran the bankroll ship into a giant rock, but he's rebuilding.  Oh well, hope he learned a lesson and we can all move on.

His site is paying.... Can't be sure but it seems to be ponzi style.  What makes me wonder is that when speeder said he deposited 3 btc and tried unsuccessfully to withdraw 13, I was able to withdraw 3 btc successfully.  Hmmmmm...... I kind of feel bad about withdrawing those coins, but the beast of burden is on the site operator, not the depositor. Seeing how my 133btc worth of withdrawls are still unpaid and how I still have over 300btc worth of winnings stuck in my account there, I don't care where it comes from as long as it gets paid.  Does that make me a bad person?

Why do you play then? The math works out to be NOT in the gambler's favor. Funny thing, he is mocking me by blasting "Players have had winning streaks with over 300 BTC of winnings" right on the front page, but he won't pay out a damn satoshi out of his own pocket.  Oh well, keep those deposits up people! Alright Andrew...

First you explain how you managed to lose that much money with blackjack...

Then you tell me how I get my 13.14 BTC, since I tried to withdraw and the balance is gone...

Seriously...

If you refuse to pay the winnings, then at least return my initial deposit (3 BTC), because I have more uses for that money (and it is not gambling, specially in a operator that now declared to have no intention to pay)

A website bug allowed shrewd blackjack players to win considerably more then the site has made in a number of months.  I'm not reversing those winnings but I'm not paying this out of pocket.  If a withdraw you make doesn't work try again next week or two or for a smaller amount.

Am I the only one who sees the GLARING error in logic here???  I'll bold it for you, just in case.  Andrew Bitcoiner, you fucked up, admit it.

Protip: Test your site before you bring it online, especially if it deals with other people's money.

Out of interest, what was the bug?

Was it the case that the house edge was negative all along, and all you needed to do was play basic strategy to win?

I suppose you've fixed it now, so you're safe to tell us.  :)

Did you find a bug?  Were you aware that something was wrong on the site while you were winning?  I'm curious to know what happened here.

And yes, that logic seems flawed.  If you won more than the site made in several months when it didn't have the reputation of not being able to pay out, how is it going to recover that loss in a few weeks now that it's known to be out of funds?

Here's the secret (I actually PM'd him with my concern, it is fixed now) you could double down for free unless you busted, and splits were also free.  Since his TOS is 404'ed and he was not responding to e-mails, I just kept on playing.  I am assuming that he is letting me keep my winnings because I actually attempted to tell him about my concerns.  IMO he is not ever going to pay out the withdrawl attempts that fail.  Bottom line is: If you have any balance there, do not attempt to withdraw it until I tell you that my account is exhausted.  Once my 300btc have been withdrawn, it might be safe to attempt a withdrawl a week later.

I had a hunch you were cheating exploiting a bug. Didn't you say that you deposited something like BTC10 and ran it up to BTC130+? That's a hell of a sick heater if legit.

Back when I still played on the site, the server crashed once and when I rejoined the hand, it displayed the dealer's total (i.e. I knew what the dealer's hole card was). I couldn't tell how to reproduce the error and Andrew had already shown a disinterested attitude when I had emailed him about slow payouts, so I never bothered telling him.

Free double downs and splitting would be even more advantageous than seeing the dealer's hole card, I'd guess. Interesting thought experiment.

Dooglus - would you rather see the dealer's hole card every hand, or be allowed to double down and split for free?

I deposited less than BTC1 and have withdrawn over BTC10, with over BTC300 left in my account.  I have a failed withdrawl attempt for over BTC133 which will never be paid.  I for one would rather see the hole card, but as it turns out double/split for free is a pretty good moneymaker.

Yeah when I played double downs weren't free and I only manged to get a big payout was with ballsy bets. I put up 1 BTC bets and hit multiple blackjacks, split three hands, etc.

I didn't exploit shit. I sat and played blackjack, bet conservatively and built up a bankroll and then placed bigger bets.

Now it seems like he tweaked the house or something to get more coins because I got beat back a dozen or so coins.

So, in summation. I don't consider myself a cheat and since I lost a good third of the payout back into the site I don't think it's unreasonable to actually pay me relatively soon so I can just lose more coin on your website.

Yeah, I don't consider myself a cheat for playing by the rules of the house, no matter how skewed in my favor those rules are.

If I had to decide right now, I'd chose to see the dealer's hole card every hand.  If I had longer, I'd run a simulation and find out which is really better.  It strikes me that knowing the hole card lets me play better strategy, whereas double-down and split are relatively rare in the game.

I wouldn't be surprised if my gut feeling was wrong though.

No they aren't lost he just needs to manually process them, which he isn't doing. It's been almost a week and I have not received anything nor any communication.

Upon further research, he is referred to as andrew scamcoiner, andrew coinscammer, and an asshole all over this forum.  He runs a shit advertising site that doesn't pay out, and is running a ponzi casino that has zero bankroll and zero ability to pay anyone winnings with the house bankroll..... because there is none.  It's a 'heads you win, tails I lose' sort of a gamble when you play at bitjack21.com

All these claims of scamming and being a dick could be disproven with a relatively cheap and humble gesture instead of accusing people of being cheats and avoiding the issue. If you don't want to pay out at least put my withdrawals back in my balance so I can slowly withdraw. I lost well over a dozen coins on your site so I find it hypocritical you can take user's coins but not pay them out.
Agreed! +1 Finally I broke even and made some chump change back from the house (without cheating might I add wasn't aware there was a bug) and suddenly soon as I want to pull out while I'm ahead "Sorry guys I'm out of cash."
If this were Vegas the Gaming Commission would have shout you down for that.Yet here he is still taking money in!

Just who the heck is making deposits while we are trying to warn every one that they won't get anything back? :-\

As I understand the bug, it affected everyone.  You didn't need to do anything to "exploit" it, except play normally.

It sounds as if the site was programmed not to charge you anything for doubling down or for splitting.

I don't see how the site could have been up so long before anyone noticed this; maybe free doubling and splitting was only introduced recently due to a bad code change.

DOH! I am Gatefull that you gave me my cash back so I don't have to chase him down for my coins. If I do get mine back I'll give it back to you  with a bonous.

What I just don't understand :
A) how come he's still up and running?
B) Why are people actually depositing with him still?
C) He's playing ponzi with deposits. Yet not lableled a scammer yet?

A) what, the internet police is going to shut him down?
B) what, everyone who logs in to his site is on bitcointalk?
C) Out of smartass responses. I have a scam accusation thread open about the matter. mem has updated his gambling list to reflect the lack of payouts.

I am offering up for sale my bitjack21.com account with 260.295btc in it.  I figure it's worth at least 100btc, I only want to do this through an escrow so the balance in the account can be verified by a third party and so the coins can be held until the password is transferred.  Andrew Bitcoiner has already gotten on here and stated that he will not reverse my winnings, so that is not a risk.  Basically you buy the account and have to play the slow-pay game with him, if you do it right you could get over 200 out... I'll explain the best way to do it upon purchase.  I am in need of some immediate btc and would like to cash this out quickly, offers is can be are go to start nowish!

Players have recently won a lot more then what the server has available, if a withdraw does not go through try a smaller amount or wait a week and try again.

Surprise, surprise... The scammy fuck removed my account.  He saw me constantly trying to withdraw my winnings .1btc at a time, in essence killing off his bankroll indefinitely, so he deleted the account!! Perfect, as I had offers in to buy the account password for 95btc.  Andrew Scamcoiner, you just cost me a thousand bucks.  Go fuck yourself.

I'm confused, who needs what now? I reset the house balance which was considerably negative.  When the house balance is under the amount of available coins on the site is when you get those withdraw delay emails and I have to manually put a payment through.  Thanks.
