Title: Can I mine on AMD and NVIDIA cards at the same time? Post by: Carlitos714 on January 03, 2014, 05:46:46 AM Ok I have seen threads about mining with one card while the other is used as the primary display.
My question is can I mine on both cards at the same time. My setup i7-3820 Corsair AX1200i Card #1 7970 Card #2 GTX 680 I know the 680 is not the best for mining, but I have so why not do a little mining. My question is there a guide. Would I need to install both drivers? Would that even work? Should I make the 680 card #1 and the 7970 card #2. Title: Re: Can I mine on AMD and NVIDIA cards at the same time? Post by: szczyglo on January 10, 2014, 08:31:58 AM It's not necessary to have 2 monitors, but without connected display or dummy you can't monitoring second card (temp, fan etc.). I'm mining with 1x gtx590 as main display card and 1x hd7970 as second with old monitor connected to it. Sure, you must install both drivers. Works great but there is some issue with proper config cgminer for radeon, needs extra switch "--gpu-platform 0" (or 1 depends on hw config)
