Title: Snapchat hackers leak 4.6 million phone numbers
Post by: BTCIndia on January 03, 2014, 08:51:58 AM
Like Cryptolocker they're asking for Bitcoins. Have they made information public yet? If yes, then where can one get a hold on this data (treasure) for further research.

Wow Snapchat has turned into a total fail.  I'd never use it after that news came out about people being able to save the file even after it was supposed to be deleted.

If the donation is not made, then they will splash your phone number everywhere in the net. It is more like Blackmail. Shameless people.

Yep. I guess they will. Shameless for sure. But what about snapchat and their security levels?

The Snapchat service isn't secure and the anonymity is compromised, is there any alternative ?

Every service gets hacked if there's people interested. I'm sure they'll fix the vulnerabilities but their reputation will be hurt. Although, you would be surprised about how many people don't care about this sort of thing.

Someone needs to build a snapchat with GPG so only the person receiving it can see the image. And the public key can leak all day long.
