bought some btc waay under value and didnt get stabbed either..... plus twas while i was just on holiday. double bonus!!

Yeah I like localbitcoins as well. Great site...though usually not the cheapest option, surprised you found such a good deal. Somebody must have been desperate :p

Yes usually the price is much higher. Not really convenient to buy, very good to sell.

got 2.8 btc for like $2100 AUD - current gox price is around 975 AUD
was odd tho.... instead of sending the coins the guy gave me wallet and key.... i sent them off to my address in batches then gave him sum $$.

might of been Tradefortress :p
twas in NSW but the guy wasnt asian.

We now know what happened to some of TF/SR/CryptoLocker funds. Seriously though if this wasn't BTC's I would have said you will get a chargeback in less than an hour.

Very strange way for somebody to give the coins. Sounds dodgy, but you paid your money and honoured the deal so they are yours now. Did the seller confirm that they received payment and confirm that they 'sent' the coins too?
