The last article that I read from them about Bitcoin wasn't very nice, but it was from June 2013, maybe they have changed their minds after the increase of popularity.
In my opinion, an official coin from a international organization wouldn't be good in general. They don't want something without control, and the good thing of the crypto coins is the decentralization, isn't it? And they would try to get control over the other coins.
