Actually, if you want to watch a movie or a serie on the internet you have two options :
1-   download it illegally/watch it in streaming, it’s free and fast. Approx time : 5 minutes.
2-   Download it legally, you have to pay, you have to provide your credit card number, so you have to share your identity and everything else… it’s boring, you have to fill in your infos, and only after you can watch your movie. Approx Time : 10 minutes.
Nowadays, it seems easier to download illegally a movie or a serie than to buy it, warez forums have more popularity than news sites. It’s not normal.
Here come VODCoin, the first decentralized virtual currency thait aims to provide a solution to one of the biggest controversial problem of the internet: how to access legally to fast entertainment on the Internet without having to fill in forms with dangerous details such as credit card number?

Why so much mans in the middle between the consumer and the actors/productors/realisators ? VODCoin make it easy for everybody to get rid of all these persons in the middle…

-   Free access to entertainment: VODCoin provide a new way to access entertainments for free legally: with mining ! Yeah, even if you have no money, you can get access to culture by sharing your computer calc power! That's a revolution! Everyone can access culture regardless of their wealth.
We could even imagine VOD players in the next years with HDMI, WiFi and a mining card, the player could mine VODCoins when not used and the user could play his favorite movies for free with the coins mined by the player !

You're right, that's why we [the dev team but you too, the community] will make all our possible to contact little VOD providers trying to get new consumers in the first way. Nowadays cryptos are a business booster, each time a restaurant starts accepting Bitcoin, it has 2 times more clients! And that's how Bitcoin starts to become mainstream. We hope VODCoin will follow the same way, little VOD providers will be happy to accept this coin "just to try", then it will become popular and in the end maybe Netflix will allow it ;) But once again, we need a strong community, let's make the theory reality.

ummm... why would a company want to accept your coin just because it has VOD stamped on it rather than bitcoin which is more established and widely available. It doesn't seem any different from any other coins just a different name ? Or am I missing something here ?

So why should i use vodcoin instead of bitcoin?  Vod websites can also accept bitcoin, and it is more likely.

Will vodcoin be used on only vod websites? Not anywhere else? So what is the revolutionary difference ?

So should I expect a 'rentacarcoin' to be popular because of its name and expect it to be used in all car rental companies? I very much doubt this coin would get anywhere unless there is a genuine benefit.

Exactly, or, to sum it up: Why use a new coin if you could use Bitcoin. Or, if the price is your argument, one of the cheaper, but established altcoins? But eh, going to mine them anyway, always in for some quick pump&dump money.
