I'm salamander135, and I'm new to bitcoins, despite following them off and on for the past couple of years. I've been doing some scrypt mining on an alt coin for a couple weeks now and wanted to branch out. I've got some money (finally) from my new job to invest in a better mining rig but I wanted to lower my initial investment cost by doing some mining now. The main crypto coin I've been mining has been GRC because I like the idea of BOINC getting some extra processing power for helping to solve some world problems.
