Title: [Coming Soon]Aluminum bitcoin cards
Post by: demonmaestro on January 04, 2014, 09:16:34 PM
I am working with the lazer guy right now on getting a few test runs to make sure all will be good. I should be getting it in a week. He is kinda backed up from the holidays. :-\

The card will look for the most part exactly what is in the picture.

If the Black comes out good there will be a test with a Blue and also a Red.
I am also looking at doing aluminum wallets as well or if big enough done out of glass  :o

The price for each card will be $15.00 <-- more cards that i get coming in the cheaper that price will get.  8)
Note: Keep in mind the price will probably drop. Once all gets settled.

If ya have any ideas or questions please let me know.

Shipping will be from Texas/USA.

Small Flat Rate Box: $5.80

I would be interested in some for sure.

Look into anodizing the aluminum for color.  Just a idea,  not sure what you guys are already planning.

If you could make one  with black and gold, I would be all over it.

The colors is not the issue right now its just getting a high resolution QR code and making sure it reads.

I'm looking forward to this!

Did you ever get a refund or e-mail from those other guys?  I still haven't heard anything.

Just a suggestion...I think you should use a different font for the public address... A font that shows more clearly upper and lower case characters.

I will look into it. Once I get the tests in. I can make any adjustments and go from there. :) 8)

I'm pretty sure it's ok if more than one person/company makes a similar product, especially if one is willing to undercut the other.  ;D

 :o :o :o Hmmmmm  :o :o :o

I am just tired of Fellow bitcoiners getting scammed out of their coins..  :-\.

So I will put a product out there that someone can trust they will get.

And I'm sure to buy it up!  Can't wait!

I checked that other site and they said refunds will be out on the 10th... wonder why that is?  Hopefully we get the BTC we sent and not the fiat equivalent, BTC has jumped a lot since then.

That's good :-)

On the other thread somebody said that aluminium is not fire-proof? Could you please confirm/deny?
How are these better than paper wallet on a zip-bag?
Thanks

I would imagine a new website would be appropriate for a new product...

Hey! Thats my site, and I'm the new guy! Every industry needs a little competition! Glad to see someone else making a cool product. Sorry to barge into your post, but I had to defend myself after that comment.

Yup, I have not been an active poster on bitcointalk, but I thought the bitcoin community would have an interest in my product, so I made an account. Trust is defiantly an issue, especially after a similar company ran off. Fortunately, I'm a trust worthy person, and have already shipped over $500 worth of product to happy customers over the last month (even provided free express shipping for a few people hoping to get there cards to put under the Christmas tree!). Having a bunch of forum posts doesn't make you trust worthy. Successfully shipping products does.

As for the site being create last month...Yes... of course it was. Its a new product, I just launched the business. I don't really know what else to say in regards to that. All associated accounts (reddit, instagram, twitter, and this one) were all created around Dec 16th 2013 or later. Its hard not to have fresh, new accounts when starting a new brand!

Anyways, best of luck with you're products, I can't wait to see what else you put out. It's really awesome to be apart of the ever growing Bitcoin industry. In the future, please refrain from bad mouthing your competition, and implying they potentially are not truthful to there customers. It's a really sleazy way to try and boost your brand.

Best of Luck

I wasn't bad mouthing you.I was just saying that the website was new and the user was new. I was just warning of a possible scam. That's all. Good luck.  8)

That is true. I was selling USB fans(sold out) and I still sell BAWLS energy drinks.

Implying that your competitor is scamming its customers is bad mouthing their reputation. Not to classy.

Sorry if you honestly didn't not have such intentions. I was just upset and a little shocked to see such comments.

Cheers

I think we were just all pretty irritated when coldcoins.co bailed after such a short time, and then said it will take weeks to do refunds. We'll see how that goes.

But it's great to see others working on this idea, it is a solid idea!
