I think that EAC is really undervalued now on exchange sites.

Technic reason, no. Good team behind, community do the job. Be there for some time without a total crash like "moon" and other meme. Look like more serious with good name and graphic. Value suppose to up when he finally hit major trade  website like cryptsy... After that, it's a bet, like all other alt...

Its simple, EAC rise faster than BTC in early days + good dev support + community behind it

At one time EAC was trading around 900 Satoshis, now is at 370. I guess it could rise up to 3000 - 3500 in short term, but no more - then it'll become most profitable to mine and miners will start dumping lot of earthcoins and start pushing the prices down ...

Since there is 100000 alt coins out there (in the make), it all comes down to Awareness and how large the community of a coin is. Also: can the currency be used in "real life-internet" (webshops etc).

My strategy is to mine some of all. So ye i have doge, cat, ronpaul, litecoin, worldcoin, fastcoin, netcoin en ofc Earthcoin (idd, no mooncoin, dont have faith in that one). It's all in very strong hands, since I only daytrade with max 10% of my stacks. The 90% is for sale somewhere in 2015/2016 maybe.

See what happend with bitcoin. BTC is around for a few years already. When in the early days you had 1000 BTC that were worth 10 cents each, and when it went up to 1 dollar, omg you felt like selling. A shame if you look at the current price (of almost 1000 bucks) again.

Pricetarget for EAC will be at least 1 dollar each next year. So why sell now for a quick buck to pay-off your hardware?

Btw, Earthcoin is my "main" coin for mining now.

I guess it could rise to at least four, maybe five, times its current value, to about 0.000015. Perhaps it is wishful thinking, but there is nothing saying it couldn't since it a large community and the devs are really trying hard.

As others have already said  Earthcoin is stable and very fast to confirm the excellent new variable Block reward cycle is unique and EAC adds incentive to miners by way of the special 2X and 5X block reward days.
It also has a responsive and active dev team, combine this with the excellent marketing thus far and I think most would agree that this coin stands out among a plethora of lesser brethren!

2014 will be the year Crypto don't miss the boat.

To me that's a major disincentive... Why bother mining it 24/7 when you can just mine on one specific day with better rewards?... Then again, I guess the difficulty will go through the roof on those days, which will probably end up nullifying any bonus.

My expectation is 0.0005 BTC by the end of 2014.

Already had a 2x day last friday, diff indeed went through the roof as you said, but at the end of day most of us miners were still with 15% average more than any ordinary day + the fact that it helped dilute some of the coins to those miners who just jumped into the boat for 2x reward day. and what will happen on 5x day? probably the same, but with a much larger quantities.

I don't think you will see such a slow growth. It will either skyrocket or fall down to zero. 50cent would be a market cap of 3billion but it is possible.

I see it like this: Either it goes to 1$ in one year or under 0$. The event 1$ will happen with 1% possibility and to 0$ to 99%. With the current price of 0,3 cent satoshis you will buy with 1$ a profit of 300%!!!!

(no I don't know. I have a few and hold them for a while).

Lets face it, most likely and surely earth coin will end up like all the other alt-coins. Prices will eventually stagnate and drop.

There are over 612 million of these coins, I don't even want to know what the growth rate is. Like someone said before, if the price rises than the miners will come in to profit and dump the coin.

The more I deal with these alt-coins the more I just ask myself, why don't I just buy bitcoins.

Even these 2nd generation coins are a total gamble and most likely will fail. They are not even decentralized.

Look at NXT coin. supposedly 20 people bought the 1 billion coins for like $5,000 to cover the costs to develop.

Why would anyone want to invest money in a coin like NXT, when it can be developed for as little as $5,000. I'd rather just put my money in what chase is going to develop. I'd rather trust a big bank like chase to store my money in a centralized money system than something like NXT.

Don't be fooled here, and you guys claiming EarthCoin will be .50 cents are just stupid and don't understand the crypto market very well. At this rate there will be a new hot alt-coin in just a few days that everybody will jump to.

I have seen the same crazy price predictions in all the new alt-coins, be it, Dogecoin, NxtCoin, Emark, WorldCoin. All baseless predictions really.

I just don't see it happening, too many alt-coins and they pretty much all share the same investment money.

You have to face the facts that Earthcoin is just like all the other alt-coins. They seem to come and go now very quickly. Maybe there will be a lucky winner, but odds are not in your favor.

.50cents is ridiculously high and especially can't see that happening with how many coins are mined each day and how many are available.

If Earthcoin was the first coin to come out, like before bitcoin than yes, but being an alt with 100's of other coins, nope.

Invest smartly guys, sorry to insult anyone calling them stupid if they think it will go to .50 cents. It is just a 1 in a million chance.

You might also want to mention the price beating EAC took right after the 2x event, what happens on this green earth after the 5x is beyond me!
