answer is no. it used to be that there was more buying in china than the rest of the world combined, about a month ago or so.. but not these days. it's still a major exchange though. Asia generally has capital controls so any way for the rich to get their money out will be wanted, plus china and Asia are by nature savers and investors.
I live in Korea and just like in the West the news about Bitcoin has been super negative and has warned the majority off. I asked a friend what she thought about Bitcoin, she said oh I heard its risky and people steal your money? That's the current mainstream belief. Once that changes expect a flood in.
