1.3   Fund your wallet(ripple wallet need at least 20 XRP as a reserve.)
It is recommended to have 31 XRP as funding: 20 for the base reserve, 5 for a trust line for your NXT issuer (or any other gateway you want to initially use), 5 more for a trade offer and 1 more to pay for ~100k transactions. Beyond that you do not ned to deal with XRP any more, unless you want to trade a lot or choose to buy/sell them.

There are some sites out there that give you a BTC deposit address and ask for your Ripple address, then convert + send funds there (you send BTC to the deposit and receive XRP) - I haven't used them though, so no recommendation by me.

Once there is a market against XRP by the way, you can trade indirectly for a LOT of currencies on Ripple - USD, BTC, CNY, EUR, LTC are only the more liquid ones, there's even more.

thank you for your further explanation and information.
let more and more people know different ways of exchange, join them, compare them, stimulate them.
this is the process of growth

So, deposits have been no problem - I just can't trade. When I click on sell, I am brought to the myoffers section but no trade is placed. Any ideas? Clearly trading works for others since there are existing trades and I'm able to trade ok on the default ripple wallet.

Has anyone placed a NXT/BTC trade today on peercover?

there are several orders under BTC/NXT and NXT/XRP this time,
do you select the "issuer" at the page of "Trade"?
if you want to trade BTC/NXT, you should select peer(its ripple address) as both BTC and NXT's issuer.
and do you have enough IOU to place an order

I tried a NXT withdrawal.. PeerCover said it was done, never received the coins..

Is there a support thread somewhere or is this it?

I had the same problem last week. Withdrawal never showed up in Nxt blockchain.  Also I couldn't do the trade from Peercover. If I clicked 'buy' nothing happened.  I did the trade in my Ripple account.  Now in Ripple if I click Trade it just shows 'Loading Order Book ... '.  I guess something is wrong in Peercover and Ripple.

Most problems imho come from people using the default public rippled servers - if you run your own local one, you are the only person using it... meaning it will not go under heavy load just because suddenly a bunch of people sign on and all request their trading history of the past year at once.

They asked their customers to withdraw them until the end of the month, you should have gotten a mail if you are one of their users.

I can't see a way but is it possible to withdraw Nxt directly from Ripple? I have a few Nxt coins in my Ripple account that I bought using Peercover.  Peercover is inaccessible for me.
