Title: Why not invest in Ripple?
Post by: Boxxl on January 06, 2014, 07:52:11 PM
Hi,

Google Ventures and Andreessen Horowitz (http://a16z.com) already invest in Ripple.
These guys don't just invest in something...

Is it?

No, they didnt. Ripple is a massive pump and dump scam. Its like a more advanced version of a shitty 100% premined altcoin. If anyone is having doubts about it just check ripplescam.org

Ripple isn't decentralized, who's to say once every one has invested they won't make more coins when they run out!

It is not a true crypto!

When it was under a penny an XRP, would of been worth taking a flyer on it to invest 100K or so.

It has a lot of venture backing and innovation, and can be readily exchanged for BTC on Bitstamp, Justcoin, etc.

A lot of people have. The rest ignore the facts and throw the word 'scam' around as if RL has done something to them. Which is obviously bullshit.

No, they didnt.

Yes they did. Investors are: Google Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, IDG Capital Partners, FF Angel, Lightspeed Venture Partners, The Bitcoin Opportunity Fund and Vast Ventures.

If anyone is having doubts about it just check ripplescam.org

Except that site has been debunked countless times. It is outdated and inaccurate. Here is the source code that the site claims does not exist, for example: https://github.com/ripple (https://github.com/ripple)

ripplescam.org was created by reputed scammer TradeFortress, who had a vested interesting in attacking Ripple. It conflicted with his centralized ventures. Just do a tiny bit of research:

https://www.google.com/search?q=tradefortress (https://www.google.com/search?q=tradefortress)

Ripple is phenomenal. Almost all Next Gen currency systems validate Ripple in one way or another. It came to market before people understood all the ways centralization threatens crypto currencies. Alleged scammers like TradeFortress, ironically, have also validated the need for systems like Ripple.

Although Ripple cannot be mined, it can be earned in a similar manner. Check out this humanitarian computing project: https://www.computingforgood.org/ (https://www.computingforgood.org/)
