Might go down to the dumpster if you'd wanna buy some as well =P Title: Re: [WTS/WTT] Scrap Motherboards, PCI Cards, Processor, PC Parts, etc, Gold Recovery Post by: Littleshop on September 28, 2011, 11:35:58 PM You really need about 10 to 20 lbs of scrap motherboards and pci/isa cards to make any real value. When you have that much, usualy $3 a pound is possible. Junk cases are not worth keeping/shipping.
If you can not find a buyer, keep the CPUs. They are worth about $3 each and are easier to ship. I sell 20-30 at a time and usually get $100. The 2 PC case are AT (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AT_form_factor) ones, and the motherboards are probably for 1st gen. Pentium (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P5_(microarchitecture))s with EDO ram (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamic_random_access_memory#Extended_data_out_DRAM_.28EDO_DRAM.29)s .... They worth that much, how far you can trow them. Those threads pretty much cover it: -cherry picked processor built exactly like OEM but with better overclocking potential -no voltage deterioration -higher heat tolerance -not locked Not sure where to find the "mfr date info", the top of the chip says "QJMG ES A4" (among other things) and according to chiplist (http://www.chiplist.com/ChipList2/tree3f-s_spec_stepping_code-QJMG--/), "Introduction: January 2009".
