Title: Paper wallet using dice Post by: Dragonkiller on January 07, 2014, 03:50:38 PM So I read that rolling a six-sided die, 64 times is sufficient.
I have a pack of 10 dice: 2 are 4 sided 2 are 8 sided 2 are 10 sided 2 are 12 sided 2 are 20 sided I plan to roll them all together and write down the numbers in no particular order. How many times do I have to roll them? Thanks Title: Re: Paper wallet using dice Post by: prezbo on January 07, 2014, 03:57:53 PM that would be 2*(log_2(4)+log_2(8 )+log_2(10)+log_2(12)+log_2(20)) = 32 bits of information. Rolling a 6-sided die 64 times is about 160 bits of information, so you would need to repeat the process 5 times.
