Sign up for a DigitalCloud Account here (https://www.digitalocean.com/?refcode=3a84c9e7fe59). 2. Top up your account with PayPal for at least 10 $ 3. Choose "Create Droplet" and start a 8 CPU Droplet with Ubuntu 13.10 x64 in Amsterdam (Country does not matter) 4. Log into your Droplet using SSH and download the Miner from here: Windows (pre-compiled): https://mega.co.nz/#!rdJQxLIA!RFYQRA3Mpx2dtL_wW8JLzy7q9sorvzlTukB7vVdtW8M Linux (Source): https://github.com/ig0tik3d/sifcoin-miner 5. Register at https://sif.suprnova.cc for an account and set up a worker under "My Workers". 6. Start your worker using the a.bat for windows, replace worker.username and worker.password with your details before. For Linux do: Code: sudo apt-get install build-essential libcurl4-openssl-dev zip automake screen now enter a "screen" for getting the thread into the background: Code: screen Start your miner: Code: ./minerd -a sif -o stratum+tcp://sic.suprnova.cc:7777 -u worker.username -p worker.passsword 7. You should now see something like this: Code: root@sic1:~/sifcoin-miner# ./minerd -a sif -o stratum+tcp://sic.suprnova.cc:7777 -u suprnova.sic1 -p x 8. Check your hashrate on the pool, it should reflect your minerrate +-50kh/s You're now mining sifcoin ! Either that or one of the most disrespected coins ever that deserves respect is going to hit an exchange. Even if i am wrong about both it's only a matter of time.

Not really getting much out of the pool, but better than nothing.

No exchanges have it listed. Personally I mine coins to hold but most want to exchange them for btc. I have tried to follow the original Russian thread. The client has never been updated with checkpoints and really should be since launched last summer. Hopefully these things will happen. You and I appear to be the only people who really support the coin based on posts but there are always lots of nodes & people mining.
