Title: So I'm currently trying to mine my cpu on my laptop.
Post by: SoulPatent on January 08, 2014, 01:24:44 AM
I'm only getting around 1500 kHASH/s the only reason I'm doing this is to familiarize myself with how mining pools work. Do you think this is enough to make .00001 BTC if I mine for a whole day?
PS I'm also mining a tablet only gets around 600 kHASH/s but if it's the same worker it should contribute shouldn't it?

You'll get next to nothing mining on a laptop. It's really not worth it. If you must, try out mining with some of the newer altcoins.

For bitcoin mining you need ASIC. If you want to use your computer hardware try mining scrypt based coins. There are a lot of possibilities. Also, use coinwarz.com as a starting foothold.
