Alcohol kills 10,000 times more people than Marijuana. If government can legalize Alcohol, then why not Marijuana?

Alcohol kills ∞ more people than cannabis at the going rate of zero people per year.

I'm sure there's at least some where it was a contributing factor, IE with accidents or maybe some lung/respiratory problems.

I wonder if they have to print this warning labels on the bags, like we have on cigarrets.

It's not a matter of how high is the number of kills... it's just a matter of freedom.
Otherwise I could say religion kills and have killed and will kill millions of people and must be prohibited.
I could also say that a sedentary lifestyle kills thousands of fiftyish and because of that government should force people to go to gym.

I think some of its due to scaremongering from right-wing rags like the Daily Mail. The UK alcohol industry also has very powerful lobbyists (people drink less booze when they're high) and big Pharma probably see's cannabis as a threat to their petro-chemical 'medicines'. Can't have the proles curing themselves with non-toxic natural substances ;)

non-toxic? maybe it is non-toxic if you touch the plant, but when you burn a organic material there is toxic smoke that contains tar, among other things.
Natural? everything is natural, and everything is chemical. Maybe you can think that there's nothing as natural as water, but water is two hydrogen atoms and one of oxygen, so it's chemical.

Yeah you're right, inhaling smoke is not ideal (and does contain tar and other carcinogens) which is why it's best to eat it or at least use a vapouriser (it only heats it to a certain temperature).
Natural as in it's original state, not a man-made inorganic substance. Your local doctor is worse than any crack dealer on the street corner, prescription drugs in the US kill more than all illegal drugs combined.

Cannabis kills people the same way alcohol kills people.  People do stupid things while impaired and kill themselves.

Does cannabis actually contain tar and is it definitely toxic? I know breathing in the fumes of burnt plant matter is not ideal in any circumstance, but I'm sure cannabis doesn't contains all the nasty ingredients poisons and additives that tobacco does, not even close.

You ever drive while high?  You compensate a lot more and drive more carefully.

I've only crashed once high, five times or so sober.  I go hard on the road.

Anyways, if you die while intoxicated in a car accident, that is blunt force trauma killing you, not the substance.

Not sure if trolling, but you shouldn't drive under the influence of any intoxicating drugs. Cannabis slows your reaction time down and fucks with your senses just like alcohol.

Wow.  Six crashes (you can remember) at your age, when you have only been driving for a few years.  You clearly don't have the aptitude/awareness needed for driving.

When I was your age, I drove taxi for one year every day from 6pm to 6am.  I made my money getting to fares before other drivers, so I drove a lot harder than you, for longer periods.  I've had zero crashes in my 30 years of driving.  I also chased down and arrested at least a dozen impaired drivers during that year.

What pisses me off is impaired drivers, for they are endangering other people.  And YOU, like all the other IDIOTS, think you are a better driver while impaired.

I've sent an email off to your PD with your name, picture, DOB and a link to this message where you admitted breaking the law.

I doubt it.  Impaired driving is a very selfish act.  Selfish is a word that describes dank perfectly.

Still haven't heard back from the police.  I'll give them a call on Monday to file a complaint against him if I still have heard nothing.

Let me add that two were not my fault.  The only time I hit another car was when they hit me.

Not trying to boast anything, but I regularly drove 120, weaving through cars at 100 and a couple times at 120.  Shit, I drove 140 and weaved at 120 with 60 hits, you know, some things may actually increase your awareness.


And of course when I was on a bike I was weaving at 140 within a few days.  Straight ghostrider style.

The hell would I care if you tattle tell on me?  I don't drive anymore, don't have a car, lost my licence for skipping court (what a load of bologna) and I'm about to be dead, so have fun whining about something from years ago that never caused a problem and never will.  And have fun feeling bad about harassing a dead guy.

There is 3 levels of the high, Just don't get too comfortable when in public.

1) Just 2-3 of a joint or 1 Bong rip, Feeling relaxed and euphoric and happy. Still talk and walk around normally, Driving is ok.

2) 4-5 Puffs of a joint or 2 Bong rips, Feeling very relaxed and heavy, You are lazy and vision is a bit distracted and more focused, feeling the full effects, very euphoric, and happy.NOT RECOMMENDED TO DRIVE.

3) 6+ Puffs or 3+ Bong rips Stoned, Couch locked, Very spaced out and extremely euphoric, Do not be stoned in public, only do this much if your going to watch a movie and relax from work for the weekend or the night.

I hope that clears it up for those who don't consume cannabis, although edibles fall in to level 3, because they are extremely potent and concentrated form of THC. :D
