Title: BTC Tx problem
Post by: rddsd7 on May 20, 2018, 06:31:49 PM
I am just getting into bitcoin and did a small purchase with a certain address. However, after purchasing with an address I accidentally changed the address.

It is still the same wallet, but with a different address. Does this mean I will not receive my money?

Or anything i can do to reverse this operation???

What do you mean purchase with an address? Do you mean that you purchased some bitcoins and gave your wallet's receiving address in the process?

However, after purchasing with an address I accidentally changed the address.
Well, if your first transaction was already sent, that's it. Did you send some additional bitcoins to the second address as well?

It is still the same wallet, but with a different address. Does this mean I will not receive my money?
What wallet is it? Some wallets (Electrum) automatically change the receiving address each time the previous receiving address has been used. This might be the case with your wallet, and if that's the case, there's nothing to worry about. You will just have to wait for your transaction to be confirmed.

Some wallets change the adress to maintain anonymity. Past adress continues to work

You mean after you purchase bitcoin and receive it on your wallet, your wallet address changed? if that so then there's nothing to worry about it since it just normal and for sure you are using an HD wallet.

You can use the same address you used on your first transaction OR you can use the address that will generate on your wallet instead, you will still receive bitcoin using those addresses, as stated above it only maintain the anonymity but it's not really anonymous at all.

The wallet can generate a lot of address and as long as you have access to the said wallet, you are going to receive your bitcoins so don't fret about it at all.
