Either way, I've closed and reopened probably about 20 times with a 5-10 minute delay with no success. I'll keep trying.

Not many people know about it yet so it likely helped.

Why would it go to shit?  Still working fine.

Not sure why but happening to lots of people, works fine. restart it and the fucker never syncs up again.

I waited 5 minutes before it started to sync

I've started it, stopped it, restarted it after adding the new node, and done coin transfers in between, no issues so far.  :)  Took a min to find peers, but hey I'm sure the network is jammed up.  No issues for me, so far anyways.

I am pretty sure the nodes are overloaded. I started to sync after adding the nodes and then it dropped the connection and im stuck not syncing again. I guess ill just let this run for the day, hope I can sell off before this shit dies hahah

http://coinyeco.in/  has a working mac wallet now.  I just followed the instructions and imported my private key from the windows client installed earlier.   I did need the conf file mentioned in the instructions.
