Title: What would be the best Alt-coin
Post by: hashtagcoin on January 08, 2014, 04:05:01 PM
Has anyone here been able to create their own coin successfully? I am curious as to what features would be seen as desired in any new coin. I am also curious as to what the best way of distributing the coins would be. Obviously if no-one has your coins and are'nt using them then they are of no value. I understand that premining is frowned upon so what suggestions would anyone here have? At the end of the day if only early mining pools get in on the coin then dump them as soon as they hit an exchange how fair is that.

altcoin very difficult to determine the best, because there are always new altcoin in the near future. however, I think altcoin that last a long time and have a high enough price is the best, especially if it is very easy to obtain as bitcoin. maybe it will be a rival bitcoin on the future

I'm waiting on PoS blockchains. PoW is extremely difficult to run securely.

I like to think of crypto currencies in almost the same way as fiat.

In this scenoario, BTC is probably the USD or the GBP (most widely accepted and used) but really the only Altcoin I know of right now that mirrors inflationary fiat is DOGE.

So really, the "best" altcoin for the user is the coin that fits best their need.

You like the spirit of the Doge like I do? Then DOGE.
You treasure anonymity and want a coin that tried to achieve that fully? Maybe MONERO.

One too many altcoins out there and most of them are not even worth the memory space they occupy and so we expect many more to die naturally as many already have. As for which would turn out the best altcoin, I think the race would always be between bitcoin and the rest. The rest being the altcoins that attracted much capitalization and by extension large trading volume as that simply signifies wide acceptance.

There really is no best altcoin, every alt with the exception of Litecoin is an offence to Bitcoin and everything it stands for.

So many Altcoins out there, the game is now will be survival of the fittest, I believe that 90% of these tokens will die naturally. My advise to people is to always hedge their investment and not to be emotionally attached to any project

zcash is the best altcoin, which is coming in one month, it's fully anon not like monero, and it offer a great algo for the miners, that is fair, and do not promote asic mining, otherwise you can already look at zcash which is similar, but i don't like the algo of it very much, too bot net inclined

i don't have enough knowledge to creating my own coins because i know beside knowledge, i will need big budget to do that. as for now, there are many coins that available on the market, i consider to buy it and sell it, just like that.

its hard to maintain coins after the coins created, and its need lot of thing to do. and i think in out there, its hard to determine the best coins because when i look in the market, todays the coins have increase their functions so user can get more advantage from the coins itself.

beside that, for me, i think i am prefer to act like user than creating coins, maybe in future i will created my own coins if i already know the knowledge about created coins and how to maintain the coins.

well, very much altcoin which can be said to be very good, but for now it is very difficult to know which altcoin best, because almost all altcoin in top has the same popularity. but, I feel that someday eth will be above all altcoin, and be the best of all altcoin

actually both the feature and future of the coins ( or any altcoin ) depens upon the use by the people in the internet market.
so if you are looking for new altcoin to launch first of all you need to distribute in the people fot free ( like faucet or freecoins before launch and also after launch ) .
this will make the coin to be known by everyone .

ETH seems to be good but I have more faith in XMR and I think it has capacity to survive in long run and can give us good profits but its good not to rely only on one coin as we don't know what will exactly happen in future and both can even fall down in coming years.

For this be better if you're visiting the ANN section of the altcoins trying for reading from a first page and you will get more about that.. researching your ideas and make your innovation never for be plagiarism.... for best way for distributing your coin you can stand in the way of distributing the coin by some big project.

I cannot give instantly or suggestion about which is the best altcoin, It is actually, hard to distinguish on which altcoin that can stand long last like bitcoin did up to now. Though there are some coins are legit that they are helping bitcoin to promote it.

As  you mentioned  we could  not really  pinpoint  which  is the best altcoin as  of now  because there are  lots laready  of   altcoins do exist today and there are  some  have good  potential  on  following  bitcoins   path  but still not sure. Back to the topic building a new coin would  not be  hard as  long  you have a good team of developer and  a   good road map for sure  people would  really  use  your coin  but  its  not easy as  it sounds because it would really need some  new features  compare to others  so that  other  people would  really shows  interest  to your coin.
