Title: Please tell me someone here works for audi!!!

This video shows how audi cars are connecting to traffic lights. Well... put bitcoin into the traffic lights implement running late, you are going (example and made up numbers will follow this) 50 mph and you can't stop in time for the traffic life. BAM your car pays $25 or whatever and the traffic light goes from red to green. Now you don't hurt anyone, you can keep going and the city makes some money off you. I know I am dreaming a lot here, but I had to post this insane idea.

What happens if multiple people pay the money, and both run through what was a red light right into each other?

Is your idea likely to happen, no, but it is an interesting idea.

What I think would be doable in the nearish future should the governments start to value Bitcoins, would be to accept Bitcoins for road tolls in a similar fashion as EZPass or maybe being able to fund your EZPass with Bitcoins.

Hmmm, may have just had a good idea for a service...

Flash-out your Bitcoin to the traffic light, wait for 6 confirmations until the signal turns Green; and then Go-BOOM! :D

6 confirmations for a $25 transaction? Sir that would not be fun, zero confirms for the win!

Ha ha, just having fun. But its a traffic light's call on how many confirmations they need. Lets assume they only need one confirmation to prevent double-spending. Even then it will be 10 minutes or so. :(
