Title: What do YOU want Bitcoin to do for you in the coming years?
Post by: FreedomFeens on January 09, 2014, 04:28:02 PM
I am an entrepreneur who sees in bitcoin a market that is in alignment with my philosophical beliefs.  I am currently working on a unique project for the bitcoin community and will be looking for support to fund it in the near future.  Before I dive into my current bitcoin project(with funding), I would like to ask the community what features and new markets they want created for Bitcoin.  If something gets my attention and after investigation appears more likely to succeed than my current project I will direct my attention to that.

What do YOU want Bitcoin to do for you in the coming years?  What features do you want implemented on top of the Blockchain?  Are there any hardware or software innovations that the market is currently not providing for you?  Is there something you want to be able to do that you cannot do with bitcoin?

I don't want Bitcoin to do anything other than what it already does. I just want people to start accepting and using it more.

And are you really an entrepreneur? I find most people who describe themselves as one tend to be nothing of the sort but like to think they are  ;D.

I would like to retire and not have to change my bitcoins back into dollars at all but rather spend them directly.

I thought the whole point of Bitcoin was to get rid of those green dollars.

I'm coming to the conclusion the point of Bitcoin has been lost and its different things for different people, but often not really what they think.

You would think you can write on kindle and publish but you can't. I think we need an anonymous marketplace like that powered by kindle anyone can publish anything tied to some kinda identity they control. I know we are going into that direction of freedom, and one day the freedom haters will declare it bad against the law, but that is what I want, to be free, to create free, to associate free and not get treaded on by the millions of parasitic freedom hatters and that is what bitcoin is helping us get to.

I'm not expecting anything from BTC. It's fine as it is. What I'm expecting is more people using it.

Haha, as with all good ideas, capitalists and greedy pigs swarm all over it and tarnish a revolutionary idea whilst completely missing the point altogether.

the greedy and speculative side of me would like bitcoin to go up in value a lot.

the more practical side of me wants bitcoin to be accepted at most places and for the ease of use to be as easy as a debit card. this way i can make small purchases at local stores without all the extra fee's that come with using plastic. it never seems like much at the time, but i often wonder just how much ive paid over the years in those little .50-.75cent fees that most small merchants charge for debit/credit transactions.
