I invested in AMD in late November at 3.76 ...its a little over 4.00 so not a huge return, but figured the demand on graphics cards would get them some buzz...
Its all about how the industry promotes it, you can hardly find ANY news about AMD high end cards being out of stock from Financial company's, thus the stock isnt moving at all... come 6 months from now when their margins and profits are up, the stock will lift. If Overstock gets a lot of press from the action, speculators will go to work and 'speculate' volume and revenue will increase by X, hence expected earnings forecast. Internet traffic analysis etc will also help fuel speculation... real result will be 3rd Q or 4 Q results this year if they smash expectations....
