Title: How often do you have to backup multibit wallet? Post by: Iter on January 09, 2014, 09:16:41 PM I think for the basic bitcoin qt client, you have to backup the wallet every 100 or so transactions. Is this the case for multibit too?

It's common to create a new address for every new transaction.

It's not great for privacy but does mean you don't have to make a new backup. Title: Re: How often do you have to backup multibit wallet? Post by: russokai on February 16, 2014, 10:12:58 AM When I make a new wallet, I make 300 new addresses with it..only takes a few seconds. Then I back it up after that and you don't have to do it again, as far as I know. It's my understanding that you only have to back up when you generate a new address and add BTC to it.
