Title: Openex.pw - Warning Post by: phil92 on January 09, 2014, 09:25:51 PM Hi everyone,
Maybe nothing to worry about yet, but just to let you know that I opened an account at Openex yesterday, made a (small) deposit as a test, and had my account closed (ip banned) since then. I sent 2 emails + mentioned the dev on Twitter, but no answer. So this could just be a technical problem... or not. Just so you know. Title: Re: Openex.pw - Warning Post by: phil92 on January 10, 2014, 02:01:22 AM Ok, so still no news from Openex after repeated emails and Twitter mentions. Account still blocked, ip still banned.
They officially scammed me. !! BEWARE !! Title: Re: Openex.pw - Warning Post by: r3wt on January 10, 2014, 12:24:39 PM lol really? where did you mention me on twitter? where did you contact me? yes the system hands out automatic ip bans on addresses based on access violations. 10 access violations trigger an ip ban. it even has a giant message that says "ACCESS DENIED" for each violation commited. its highly unlikely that the system just malfunctioned and handed out a ban on your ip address. post your ip address and i'll unblock you. if you keep commiting access violations though and its not you doing it, you may have a botnet hiding in your computer.

"lol" ? Yeah you're right, my passion is to say on forums that websites are scams, because you know, that's fun ! 4 emails sent to admin@openex.pw 3 tweets to @_OpenEx_ But maybe you'll revert with a "lol", because pretending that emails and tweets were sent while they weren't, you know, is fun. Check your emails. We warned our users for days that we would be removing the old btc wallet due to the server being compromised. Unfortunately, reading is a lost art amongst the public.
Title: Re: Openex.pw - Warning Post by: wing_hk on January 20, 2014, 09:19:09 AM The only thing I feel disappointed is they just accept some very new coins like RAD. I recommend APC which is hot in Chinese exchange but never join other exchanges before. Maybe they think it's 1-2 month older and hard to make $ from the pump. Yesterday the developer is mining the newly released CHC and just a moment later CHC is listed in OpenEX.
r3wt I really like your works and respect your guys. However I believe profit will be maximized while codes have been optimized. However I believe profit will be maximized while codes have been optimized. I took a flier on CHC because it used 10 algos and had no premine. basically we needed a larger representation for the cpu community. if you can post me a link to APC, i will check that out too. ONLY help the ones who complain enough. 70-80% of people won't complain much :) That's what happened on Bitfloor. Roman kept a pile of cash and BTC from those who didn't raise too much of a ruckus. Raise a stink here, and you'll likely get "lol'd" and "helped"! :) -no offense. Next thing I see my IP has been banned and I've sent a couple emails but no response. in general im always very skeptical about posts like this. you practically have to be doing something wrong to get an access violation on this site, however i've noticed a large spike in them lately. probably due to the stricter rules on the login/withdraw/account settings pages. now its 3 strikes and your out type of deal. really helps stop the bots/bruteforcing. but no different from anyone else i'll give you the benefit of the doubt. just post your ip address to me via pm. i'll get to it when i can. and ps, i get 100 emails a day about ip bans, and only 1 or 2 of them even mention their account name and ip addresss when so many violations occur on a daily basis. I realize you are busy sifting through the bogus claims, so I'll just hang out and see if I get my account unbanned . your ip should be unbanned now. i just decided to reset the bantables last night since most of them were probably just customers who accidentally got banned anyway. the site is down right now while we get the development site server setup to coexist with the production server. we tried to migrate straight to facebooks hhvm platform for more speed, but it became obvious our code will need some changes to work with hhvm out of the box, so we are setting it up on dev right now. the server will need to be restarted several times in the process, that's why we've put the site in maintenance mode to prevent dataloss during the many server restarts. we apologize for the inconvenience but these things happen with young sites that are still in development. the site will be back soon as we get dev up and running. thanks Title: Re: Openex.pw - Warning Post by: r3wt on February 06, 2014, 12:27:45 AM I got error unable to connect to database i moved coin to test earlier it worked now it's down lets see hopefully all will be ok i have coin there we encountered some problems migrating from php-fpm to hhvm. your coins are safe we just have work to do that requires the site not be accessed while we work to prevent dataloss everytime we need to restart the server. Does anyone know what is OpenEx upto? I read that they are closing on March 27 so I tried to withdraw all my coins, and 0.25 BTC, the request of BTC withdrawal got cancelled automatically and my account and IP address got banned all of sudden, I tried contacting the Admin 'r3wt' and he says that I have already withdrawn my coins already and then I haven't heard back from him. Can someone guide on what should I do? Have I lost my coins? Title: Re: Openex.pw - Warning Post by: Localbtcbuyer on March 10, 2014, 01:36:39 AM Hi, Does anyone know what is OpenEx upto? Then pay the man and quit stalling and acting likle you have. Its odd that EVERY SINGLE TIME someone tries to cash out of your site, there is an issue with it getting cancelled or ignored. Then when they complain, they get told you dont see it for 2 days, then all of a sudden they get paid. Title: Re: Openex.pw - Warning Post by: Localbtcbuyer on March 10, 2014, 01:54:44 AM Just like the DOGE wallet was messed up, and so was the btc wallet when I tried to cash out. Always an excuse.

Always an excuse. um, the doge chain was forked and there is plenty of proof of that, on top of which the wallet was deficient. the btc wallet was never messed up, so i can't comment on that because you're either fabricating it or i'm wrong. either way you got your money as far as i know. oh, and btw i personally bought DOGE @ cryptsy to pay your withdrawals that day. i went to withdraw them from cryptsy and couldn't because the chain was forked. what's my incentive to lie here? i live in the us, where the financial laws, and business laws are pretty strict. my only crime here in my eyes is naively thinking i could build and run a crypto exchange.
