Generally yes. 500k, nonono and just for asking the amount it is an everlasting no.
He can show a donate button somewhere, that is how things work.

Maco is asking a ridiculous amount of NXT as a bounty.
So i'm saying no to his proposal in its current form.

But: an Android app would be useful. If Maco is willing to release it to the community, see how it works, and then recieve a reasonable bounty based on his apps performance, I might be more sympathetic.....

Fair reward for him should be equal or less than 1 USD (usual price of Google Playmarket application) x Customer Cap (Number of Nxt accounts with sum > 1 USD) x 50% of usage

He made this app also for dogecoin. Afterwards, he fumbles in the code for 5 minutes and present it as a NEW APP for nxt and want a shitload of money for it.

Well if he won't plan to release the app, he should arrange to return the money to the donors.

here is only one little problem that wasn't mentioned - maco asks for donation not only for the app, but also for some marketing:

I actually think his app is nice and has a decent traffic. So it is worth it to pay him something to get the app up, but certainly not 500K. It is also not that essential at the moment.
After we have the full client, we can set a bounty for a resource app in android from 100K to 250K. Somebody would be able to do that easily.

Maco is basically a generic third party service provider since he made similar apps for from Bitcoin to Doge and Quark. I don't think someone pays him bitcoin to do bitcoin app. He do it because users want bitcoin app and he needs users. When we grow, he will need us to attract users not the other way around.

So @Maco you better get your act together and set a day to publish your app. I can do a fundraising and pay you 100K-200K NXT by that time. But if you don't want to do so but go around support your 42 coin instead, that's fine too and we will find another developer soon.

He's asking for $22500? (500k nxt at currPrice) for this app? What exactly does this app do that makes it worth so much?

Will this app have sex with me, wash-up and clean the house as well? If not then I wouldn't pay 500K for it :).

I send him 15K beforehand - I will send another 15K when finished.
I hope he will get 20K more from the unclaimed funds (total 50K) and he will compromise for such a price FOR THE APP!

If he can promote in any other way he can claim more.

As some of you already know.. I've been heavily busy with the launch of 42 coin. I am very motivated to the success of others in the crypto industry... Also, I am motivated at the value I add into the community... This NXT app for NXTers is at the top of my list.  I like the honesty in this thread and i valued my services at that price due to existing traffic, time spent, future time spent for updates and motivation to promote nxt.

Here is some additional information... My next 5 App Releases will see some major press attention for the value I've added to the community already.  There is some progress in the works for this... So I expect to bring in a tremendous amount of investor and miner support moving forward with the launch of this app.

I have no NXT other than 1,900 of my personal stash, 1,000 from Nifty (which I can access now successfully) and 15K from Klee, and waiting on the remaining amount. However, I don't want to hold up this launch so I am ready to accept YOUR recommendation (which sites you want) in exchange for contributing to my bounty.

Here is my adjusted goal, and I'll only do this because I really believe its important for me to hold
NXT during this up-peak in traffic from my existing apps, as well as the new upcoming press releases.

Adjusted Bounty: 100,000 Minimum - 250,000 Max NXT
Minus: 1,000 Nifty
Minus: 50,000 Klee
Who is next?

I'll also continue on-going support because I am clearly not dipping on my apps. I've had most of these apps running since Feb 2013... and I believe these are heavy hitters in the 'information' market. I have some more exclusive features I'll be adding into NXT that has not hit other APPS yet.. and I'd do that on my cost to help grow NXT and further market NXT.

So, let's start off fresh and you decide how much you want to contribute to this.

100k seems much more reasonable if this is genuine.

If this actually generates really good traffic as said by the owner, only then we can decide to throw in a little more as a thank you.

I have your Bitcoin app, I run it, I turn the wifi off (like I want to read it in the bus), but then I cannot read 90% of the articles because you are only pointing at the internet

I also would vote with yes for 50k instead of 500k.
500k is too much.

I can see 2 his apps were downloaded 1-5k times, others 500-1000 times (quarkcoin, primecoin)

Please go to the bottom of the app (left hand side) and click Settings. Then change the settings so its not restricting usage only on WIFI.

I checked the global app settings and its not restricted to WIFI only. It gives users the option to switch into 'WIFI only" but it isn't mandatory from the app side.

How are we doing with this Bounty thus far? i am getting very busy with 42 coin and I am getting ready to launch this app to the public.

Sounds like we can easily achieve this bounty of at least 100K
I would love to obtain more for my efforts benefiting towards future updates/releases... but I would be okay as a max of 100k - 250k
