To me, things like this remind me how pioneering the Bitcoin universe still is. If you want to be where the exciting stuff is happening in history you can't expect everything to be safe and predictable. As for "unacceptable", I was always aware that mtgox is a homebrew project like most Bitcoin businesses, and I am happy to keep supporting them/him nontheless.
