Allowed per forum rules? Yes. Although is frowned upon by the community. I can't quote the guidelines as I'm on my phone, but you can check yourself on mpreps thread.

18. Having multiple accounts and account sales are allowed, but account sales are discouraged.

With this I hope you will read the whole post as well.

Although the rule says that account sales is forbidden, the transaction will continue outside forum or other platform.
Do you still interest to purchase account ?

Exactly, this is what theymos statement says. Having buy account an or sell account was strictly prohibited here in the forum once you are caught by DT members red mark was probably under your profile.

There are some problems involved in account buying first mate. Many of the people account has been hacked and selling here and there in the forum itself. That is not at acceptable one by moderators and forum rules.
Then mostlh account selling happening to make some scam with that account on this forum mate.
Still not sure account buying and selling account is right or not exactly.

Hello, my opinion is that buying and selling accounts should be banned. Not so much the moderators have the opportunity to follow all the multi accounts.

yeah probably you might not get interest no more since the negotiations outside could be risky and we all know that we came from.differrent countries around the world so literally honesty is hard to tell. Aside from.that why buy account when you can create your own for free?

, I have been thinking about this for a while, since buying/selling Merit is forbidden, but buying/selling account is Allowed (Discouraged), how about buying/selling Account that has Merit, doesn't it mean that we also buy/sell the Merit ?
In that case buying/selling Account that has Merit should be Forbidden too, right?

Buying and selling of accounts facilitate spam, shitposting and account farming. They are marked with a red tag in case they are caught. Sold accounts are the biggest source of scams happening and then the shiposters are always there.

The easy way to understand why its discouraged/marked red is that those people whose accounts have been sold had some trades with other people. The trades may have built a good rapport among them. The new owner might take advantage of that socially good terms to implement a scamming method.

BTW if you can get an info on which account is being sold and who is buying it report it in "Reputation".

I'll answer, though TheUltraElite already said it best.  Buying & selling accounts is NOT against the forum rules, but if a member of DT catches you doing either one of these things and cares to tag you, they will.  I certainly do when I see it happening or someone reports it to me.  And note that DT doesn't necessarily have to find out about the sale offer--if they find out about it a year down the line, the account will still get tagged (maybe).  So just don't do it.

When you buy an account, you're basically taking on someone else's reputation, trust score, merit score, and rank and post history.  It's not something this forum as a whole looks highly upon.  People know that and yet they keep buying and selling accounts here, so there you have it.

Thanks for the quote and the link, I did read the rules before but I was not sure.

And I'm not interested on buying an account, I was actually more interested in providing what accounts the guy is selling, in case if was strictly forbidden.

He has a huge point.

Bro some people really doing account farming over the forum for sometime and increased the rank and selling it to make money. However, we cannot consider those kind of accounts as well right!
They mostly targeting the accounts for earning on the forum. If that goes wrong like that, DT have to give the tag on them.
Then if seller doing the hacked accounts on selling here? We need to flag them with red tag is my opinion.

Buying/ selling accounts don't violate the current forum's rules.
however, I have seen lots of accounts which experienced bussiness deals got red tags from moderators.
Therefore, never should fall into account bussiness.

I think is a BIG No,if you read the rules.personal accounts by you because all your activity's needed to approve by your email or you.so why are you buying fraud accnts if you want so easy to create your own right..

What kind of account's rank?

In my mind, buying and selling account with good reputation is disallowed. Because they're buying and selling merit too. It's against the rules. There is no need to do this. But if they're buying and selling Brand new or Newbie account, that's okay  ;D

Indeed, I hope the moderation team change and make selling/buying accounts forbidden unless they have no merits.

I completely agree with you. Buying/selling account has no merits and activity under 30 is not against the rules 😁

Personally, they are discouraging this kind of activities but not banning it. I wonder why would this happen? It will causes to misled and mis-informed.

Yeah I believe it's because such situations might be difficult to judge/track, that's what I believe... A moderator answer on that would be nice!
