Title: kinetic, Falcon, and Bitewing Airdrops
Post by: gawer33 on May 21, 2018, 04:22:10 PM
this is the link they will give you after the confirmation asking to sign and verify your Ethereum address
https://myetherwałlėt.com/signmsg.html

can someone confirm this scam?
this is currently widespread on BitcoinUsersPH facebook page seems like no one notices it yet

update: I already did my interview/research  on BitcoinUsersPH facebook page it seems the phishing site is chosen for random users like 50% have phishing site 50% will receive an email that the airdrop is successful while half will receive to verify their mew

update!!: do not fall for this kinetic, Falcon, and Bitewing Airdrops after sometime some affiliate links you send
will ask to sign your ethereum address  using this link https://myetherwałlėt.com/signmsg.html (https://myetherwałlėt.com/signmsg.html) this is widespread a lot of people in my airdrop chat group fell in this scam.

Yes, it is most certainly a scam.
1. The twitter handle has only 2 posts and no notable followers
2. Twitter page does not mention any website for the project
3. Telegram group is an announcement channel with only 2 posts
4. There is no Telegram channel for discussions
5. The link that redirects to "myetherwałlėt" has special characters and if you copy paste it, the following address appears: "https[colon]//xn[hyphen][hyphen]myetherwalt-crb17c[dot]com/signmsg[dot]html"
6. Email that arrives on signing up for airdrop is misspelled at many places

This is a phishing scam that will make you reveal your mew private key. Seeing there are 11000 retweets to its twitter airdrop announcement which was one of the tasks required for getting the airdrop, many may have already fallen victim to this scam.

OK. So this is the new modus operandi of scammers. Target airdrop seekers. Would you mind editing the topic to include these projects in the topic name as well? Could help prevent some more people from getting their ETH stolen. Thanks.

So I made the right choice not to proceed with the sign message thing. I just signed up to an airdrop yesterday that brings me to that site but fortunately fortiguard blocked that site so it did not push through and i just closed the site.
