I'm actually English and know Oxford very well. I will be back in the UK very soon, but perhaps too late for this meet-up. March probably.

Yes, he does :)  if you're coming in March that would be great as we're planning to have these meet ups on last Saturday of each month, so that would be March 29th,  but I'll keep you posted if anything changes :)

Virgin don't fly to Thailand unfortunately :( no real innovative airlines fly UK <-> Thailand, probably AirAsia are the most innovative but I don't like them, budget service at normal prices ;)

I might try to make it down to a London meet, but wouldn't go down there especially for one, but when I do go down to LDN I like to plan my trip around these kind of things.

Yeah,  I'm on Feathercoin team but wanted to rally crypto enthusiasts local to Oxford as I haven't met many so thought tie it all in together :)
It was great to meet crypto people from in and around Oxfordshire :)

Excellent turn-out. Can I just ask if this is Feathercoin orientated or all cryptos? I know I'm in a minority but more into bitcoins myself :) wouldn't want to travel 6,000 miles and feel "left out" ;)

It is more Feathercoin orientated BUT I'm trying to get all people that are into Crypto together around Oxfordshire.

Nah .... the problem with altcoins (for me) is it would take me two weeks to decide which to invest in. And by that time, another six dozen would have been created and I would have to start the process again ;) I'll stick to what I know and understand, its worked ok to date.

True, but at least FTC has been out a while and is established. Most of these altcoins are worthless, but at least FTC is in double digits. Plus, how many pubs do you know that accept it? I think buying £10 worth of FTC now might get you a lot more when you decide to come to one of these meets.

I have no ideas how many pubs accept FTC ...... you'll have to fill me in on that one :)
