I develop this coin because I found many mistakes of old coin , we need fast generate (30 sec block ), fast confirm (70 network confirms ) , high rewards (1000 coins per block ) , and quick decrease the reward of block (decrease 1 coin every 1000 blocks).

We want make the bull coin of 2014 , so just join us .

500 million coins total
30 sec Block
70 network confirms
difficulty retarget every 1000 blocks
reduction every 1000 blocks (decrease 1 coins every times)
for example:

Already released , I don't want to pre-ann , because it'll make so many ppl start mining at the same time , and the low hashes users can't solo . it isn't fair .

so it is premined and "premined" by un-announced release?  ::)
sounds like a winner..

ok thebullcoin. tell us about the project.
Are you a real Dev? Do you have plans to form a community? I ask because you had 1 post before starting this thread.
It seems like one of the 20 a day clones.  No pools, 1 node, no website, premined, all bad things

it isn't bug , because someone find the block before you , so your work wasn't accepted by the network , it means we need mining pool .

It means the thread shows in their list as one they have contributed to, so it is easier to use the 'Show new replies to your posts' option you'll see in the top left of your browser window to find the things you are interested in. Alternatively, it means they are saving the space to post something later, normally on first page of thread!

All block in orphan. Bad coin

please update your wallet client to 1.1.0
My wallet is 1.1.0

delete blocks/chain

after its running you can start it, write down the wallet address.
stop it
rename the new wallet.dat to wallet.new
copy wallet.old to wallet.dat
start it

sendtoaddress <new wallet address>

when done, stop it
delete wallet.dat
rename wallet.new to wallet.dat

0-10000 : 1000 coins per block (because a bug that fixed)
10000 - 11000 : 989 coins per block
11000 - 12000 : 988 coins per block
...
999,000 - 1,000,000 : 1 coin per block
after 1,000,000 : fixed 1 coin forever

somethink is not going OK,

we're now at block ~11560, should block reward not be more then 1?

A 1.2.0 wallet will publish , we don't want to relaunch.

the first 10000 coins will fine and 10001 block start the right block reward

This coin is broken. Released 7 hours ago with 30sec target time it's supposed to have ~840 blocks. We have over 11k now. Probably difficulty adjustment isn't working well.
Are you sure you've had experience?

I'm getting blocks now with 1.3.0.
However this coin isn't going anywhere with such a fail launch. 12k blocks were mined before functional wallet release.

Well, I lost 82k coins transferring between wallet updates, probably got stuck on a fork somewhere, now I am waiting for the blockchain to download on 1.3.0 and it is going so painfully slow diff will be through the roof by the time it catches up.

Easy. Conf file already contains server=1. So what you do is just point your miner to 127.0.0.1:38800 with username rpcuser and password rpcpassword.

Yes , It  forked , and new tree start at 10001 .
Because the old tree was 1 coin per block after the 10000 blocks
So people didn't lost  too much  money.

How to solomine:

1) Get yourself a quark miner. I'm not feeling like searching it for you, so google it or find on this forum.
2) Put this into config file:
rpcuser=tangle
rpcpassword=1
rpcallowip=*
rpcport=38800
port=38801
daemon=1
server=1
addnode=54.200.155.140:38801
addnode=222.186.195.252:38801
addnode=162.243.223.190:38801
addnode=202.197.224.102:38801
3) Copy config file to %Appdata%\Bullcoin folder. What %Appdata% is? In windows 7 it's C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming. In windows xp it's C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data
3) Open your wallet or restart if you did changes in config.
4) Run a miner. minerd.exe -a quark -o 127.0.0.1:38800 -u tangle -p 1

No, you're connecting to your own wallet, 127.0.0.1 is your IP address. Feel free to change username and password to whatever you want.

It's not a scrypt coin.
You will need a quark miner.
And you also need your wallet running when mining.

You were mining orphans. Like all of us.

The problem is difficulty now is very low and there are a lot of miners. Diff adjustment is set to every 1000 blocks and max increase of difficulty is probably set to 10% or 15%. So we need ~7000 blocks just to double the difficulty. I'd say we need it multiplied by 2000. It's gonna take years.. Dev is probably chinese, he must be sleeping now. That's why no reason to mine it now, wait until he fixes it tomorrow.

You probably need to run
Code:
chmod +x src/leveldb/build_detect_platform

well its the first time ive managed to solo mine couldnt get any of the cpu miners to work, what i ended up doing was i added this as a .conf

rpcuser=tangle
rpcpassword=1
rpcallowip=*
rpcport=38800
port=38801
daemon=1
server=1
addnode=54.200.155.140:38801

addnode=162.243.223.190:38801
addnode=202.197.224.102:38801

file to the bullcoin in roaming folder after closing the bullcoin wallet then followed the guide here.

http://www.miningpools.info/solo-mining/

which was basically opening the wallet and pasting setgenerate true -1 in the debug window and i was mining.

mining seems to be a bit hit and miss so far. yesterday i was mining fine when others were claiming they had none but for the past 6 hours ive had nothing not even orphans.

premine 1% for dev.

Okay so you want my hashes for your block chain? lol .. no.. from the look of things others seem to think the same.

No pre-mine, low block reward first 1000 or so blocks is how its done. Check out how c-note did it.

this is still a fun coin to mine, I like it

But no pre-mine and low block reward for first 1000 does sound like a fairer way to start a coin

I'm gonna stick with this one though unless the Pool harsh rate drops dramatically

Hahahaha, brilliant.
Any sign of a block explorer? Any sign of a website? Any sign of a community? Any sign of the dev with his 4.99mill TBCs?
No? Then I guess there won't be any exchanges in the near future then. Someone could try to pick up this coin, but why would they, just to enrich the crappy Dev.

But if you somehow take over the coin, don't forget that the loser dev premined 5mill and only gave away a few thousand. If you want to take it over, either bin those premined coins or buy them off him at about market rate (almost nothing)

The initial dev deserves nothing for his awful performance, don't do the pumping so that he can't dump.

Looks like there is a problem with this coin.

I've got a wallet on system A and I cannot dumpprivkey and take the private key to system B and do importprivkey.

The key shows up on system B but the balance remains the same. I've re-downloaded the blockchain and tried rescan.

Seems to be a broken coin unless someone has some ideas?

Is there a block chain explorer somewhere?

Worked fine for me but I just copied the "wallet.dat" file into the roaming profile

Goto system A and goto %appdata%\bullcoin\wallet.dat and copy to USB take to system B and while the bullcoin wallet is not running copy the wallet.dat file over the current one located at %appdata%\bullcoin\wallet.dat

So System A and System B both have same address and balance updates together in sync

Agree as fun a coin as this is to mine there is no point the miners propping it up unless there is further commitment from the Dev, if the Dev was doing a fantastic job then okay keep the 5 mil and give away your couple hundred thousand and well done and many thanks for the coin. I think at this point the Dev should give up say 2-3 mil and up all the bounties considerably to get this thing kicked off, would still mean the Dev would be rewarded for the effort made so far by still keeping 1/2 the pre-mine. From the Dev's prospective it would still have to be far better to have 1/2 the pre-mine at some value and going somewhere than all of it at no value and going nowhere.

Thanks for trying it. I don't have a wallet to copy just the private key at this point.

The original wallet showed the correct balance of ~ 480K before the dumpprivkey. I have an image
backup of the system that the wallet was on (linux) but I'm not going to restore it unless 480K Bull makes it
worth my time to restore sometime soon. I'll just set the backup aside for now in case somehow it was a
wallet problem but I don't see how.

Clearly there is a problem with the coin, regardless if it worked once for you, it's got to be 100%,
there can be no excuses for not being able to get your coins from the private key. I suspect there
is a problem with the blockchain, maybe I was on a separate fork but that means a lot of other
people were also and this is going to be very widespread since there is 480K missing.

If anyone has any other logical guesses I'm all ears. Unless we get a blockchain explorer to see what's going on
that's all it's going to be. At this point I think this coin is dead since the dev has not responded for 3 days.

Add this one to the dead CRAPCOIN list.

Looks like there is a problem with this coin.

Given that you still have the bitcoinsports.eu advert as your sig, you must be pretty persistant! He hasn't posted since the 20th of december and hasn't paid out what he owes for months now!

Unfortunately this coin is dead, the dev only posted a few times and didn't sort out any infrastructure for the coin.  It wasn't terribly innovative to start with either.  That my Athlon X2 250 could solo mine lots of blocks showed that the difficulty and total mining power was somewhat lacking to start with too.

If someone does take it over and get rid of the premine then I would be interested, but only if the premine goes along with the dev.

No pre-mine, low block reward first 1000 or so blocks is how its done. Check out how c-note did it.

The wallet has some serious issues.

I made a new wallet and imported the old private key, the result --> No transactions. I had 50K coins on address BggLTJh18QjGAhuvZpXbiVm8MQ6g7okZE.

If I use the old wallet.dat, I get the balance.

I tried reindex with rescan with nothing.

The dev is gone again. No promotions or anything.

It hardly took effort to make this coin; this's a plane quark clone -quark images instead it include Bitcoin images, different block rewards. So it's easy to abandon it.

It would've been a success, people still are interested though, but he dev is not.

Bullcoin | The Currency Revolution
http://www.bullcoin.co/

BullCoin is a peer-to-peer digital currency with a distributed, decentralized public ledger, which unlike those of traditional banks is viewable and easily audited by anyone.

Think of it like a peoples bank. Your accounts cant be frozen, it is completely and always free, it is anonymous, much more secure than traditional banking and payments can be sent to anyone in the world within seconds. Anyone can create an account just by downloading the software. This bank has no owners and cannot be shut down. Because it is peer to peer, it is completely transparent. There is a limited supply of coins making it valuable and a great store of wealth like gold. New coins can only be generated by the networks 1% interest rate. Everyones account generates 1% interest per year to help keep the system secure.

So welcome to the future of currency!

Is it really working? The dev appears once a year on your thread! Unless he surprised everyone and delivered what he said months ago! It hasn't  been active since March! Countless projects are abandoned in the same way. ;D
