Title: merit system sucks
Post by: nlcars on May 21, 2018, 11:28:01 PM
I was new here on bitcointalk in december 2017 after a friend told me to register. All was going well I was reading a lot in this forum and I had my activity points and was a Junior member. I earned 5$ a week because of my signature but I think in January they begun with this merit system and suddenly my account could not get no upgrade anymore. But if this is not worse enough there are "scam hunters" they accused me with cheating, trading merits, alt account and posting only shit.
They screwed me because these people are working together and accusing other people with scam but they do the most biggest scams on this forum. Because they are trading crossly merits with each other they have much power and much merits, the only thing they want to do is not to share the money they can earn.
Now I am only once in a month maybe on this forum because I do not like this kind of shit, and accuses, it is really sad and I  hope this forum will not lose all his popularity because of this kind of people who think they are smart because they have the power and earned much easy points before and now are trading themself with merits

No you suck.
Edit : OP lock the thread man. This isn't leading you anywhere.

I've noticed that there's a positive correlation between hating the merit system and putting the dollar sign after the amount.  Besides that, OP here got caught in some merit abuse with secondary shitposting, which has contributed to his demise here.  I'm not sure what he's expecting with this thread.  Sympathy?  Support?

Paying OP $5/week to post here is him basically defrauding whatever sig campaign he's in.  Hopefully he's been dropped.

No you suck.
Word.

It's really hard to rank up now but this is the purpose of merit system to fully commit on this forum and work with patience. If you are qualified to receive merit someone will give it you. As I can see, trading merit is quiet not a good idea especially if its done for the whole month with the same person.

WTF, I registered in November 2017 and had no problems  with merit system nor scam accusations.
You probably was on a wrong track the whole time that's why you lost all, don't try to cheet and everything will be fine.

you can literary join  any  bounty you want   and  avoid the sig campaign and you can still make good money  with no spam or  getting worried about merit   .

just forget about  those 5$ bro  if you learn from the forum  how you  trade or how to  pick a good ico  / or avoid a scam one  then you can make  lot of money by investing some $ from your pocket  and am sure that you will then realize how silly you are when you was after those 5$  .

for the second part of your topic  .  get some proofs  and start an accusation topic or a reputation one   or just post here in meta  with the proofs , if you are not able to do so  then just get over it  .

and  just like in any thing in life  its  first come first serve  like  those ppl who bought btc while it was less than 1$  so again  get over it  and work your way out .

edit :  hhhh  look at your merit summary  it seem you and  Zandar  are  exchanging merit .    hhh  you just screwed up  bro  . your  biggest mistake is  to complain about merit in meta  ( where most of the DT members  hang out )  while you are  abusing  merit   with 2 other members  ;D  .

i hope you enjoy more red negative trust  from the DT   ;)

Oh come on dude, as soon as I've seen the subject of your topic and saw your merit history, I knew what this was all about. No need to ever read anything anymore. Moving on.

Sucks for signature bounty abusers, it only works for dedicated member.
Bitcointalk is a place of discussion, not a place of earning only.

If this is your main motivation, which it looks like since it is in your first few lines, then the merit system is working well to stop pointless posts.

Although it doesn't stop pointless posts complaining about the merit system - can't win em all.

Waah I simply add you into my Ignore list because you used the word 'Sir', actmyname.
Just kidding, lol.
By the way, I highly suggest the OP author to lock the topic as soon as possible to stop spammers showing their shit in Meta board.

you blame this system (Merit) because you made this forum an income source.

This is how they reduced people who have a very bad opinion as you.

Merit system is very helpfully just because they stopped the spams and people who have more than 1 acc growing them very quick.

At the end this system doesn't suck just the people with bad opinions ....

The one's who read a lot don't get stuck when It comes on writing, and lack of writing skills made you reach the state you are in right now.  ;D

The merit system was implemented 6 days before i would become senior member and i still think is a good system.
It sure did put a brake on the spam around here...

Something's wrong here. Your current activity count is 309, so I don't think you missed the rank-up day only six days.
Of course, my theory will be only right if after the launch day of merit system, you satisfied all requirements for each 2-week period.
As you can see, my current activity post is 294, and I fell more than 1.5 or 2 months to rank up to Senior Member from the launch day of merit system.

For now, I have collected 22 merits and I have gone almost 1/7 of my pathway to Senior Member. I love the system because it has worked perfectly to keep shitty posters stucked at low ranks.

Yes, buddy. The virus is striking back. Call the reinforcements. We need to cleanse this section. The virus is still spreading. No, no! I am going to die... Damn you, OP. You have done it again. You basically have no clue as to how this system works. No one would have accused you without a valid proof. You must have abused the system. And when you abuse it, you meet your fate. Hélas, try again.

Taking a look at your posting activity all I can say is that you are the typical TROLL.
What do you want to achieve in the forum? to earn $5 per week? Is all you want from a website in which there are many people willing to help, to share information, in where you can learn a lot for free? Are those miserable $5 far more important than all the knowledge we share in here for FREE?

We don't like trolls. And you have been trolling and scamming the forum.
I don't understand why are you still here. Do you dislike the forum? Leave. You don't agree with the system? Leave. Don't you like the users in here? Leave.

Why merit being implement ? Because admin want to increase forum's quality so all we can do is obey their decision or you just can leave and create your own bitcoin forum with your own rule ( without merit rule )

Just follow the rules! Merit is not an issue.

I totally agree with you. How we can increase forum's quality depends on the rule itself including threads.

The very moment we all took a break from merit this, merit that and focus on the forum, it will be better. At least if anyone needs to rank up now, the person has to work for it and not just post as much meaningless posts as possible to increase post and activity account. New rank has to be earned all Tha KS to the merit system.

Why did you join bitcointalk forum? Did you join because you want to earn too like your friend?

Just follow the rules! Merit is not an issue.
I agree with this one. Even if i'm new to this forum I tried to not shitpost in this forum and I did it 3 times and i'm happy because of it. Merit is implemented by theymos to increase the post quality in this forum. Bitcointalk forum is not just earning but for learning also. If you want to rank up just do what theymos goals for the better bitcointalk forum instead of whining like a child. Work for it not whine for it.

Good sound. I regested in february 2018 on this forum , wrote 112 messages and get only 1 merit. But am try to get merit the following patch:

1) Improve my English.
2) Read information about cryptocurrency and help another users.
3) Help moderator to catch fraudster.

Good luck everybody.

Yeah, checking your post- and merit- histories, I found that you got your only 1 merit poit till now due to generous reward from bitperson.

I guess that guy sent you the merit as a motivation for newcomer in the forum. However, after that point, you seems to fall into bounty hunting. Most of your threads concentrated on reporting Tweet history, etc. I don't think you will earn any more merit point with such un-constructive approach.

Begging for merits, falling into bounties will keep you stucked at your current low rank, might be forever.
Good sound. I regested in february 2018 on this forum , wrote 112 messages and get only 1 merit.

If you really want to chance your current approach by improving your English skills first, there you go:

tbct_mt2's Guideline on some forum functions, English texbooks (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3991710)

You will obviously not be able to read articles, documents on basic stuffs in cryptosphere if you don't have good English-reading skills.

But am try to get merit the following patch:

1) Improve my English.
Additionally, you can also find helpful tips in the above topic (which hyperlinked to my other topics) such as how to quote relevantly, how to attach images in comfortable sizes, etc.

Best regards, mate.

i have struggling in gaining merits eventhough my post are better. they say you cannot gain merit easily when you are joining a bounty campaign. i always making my post better and helpful to others but then again no merit for me.
