I am currently mining Datacoin with my CPU laptop. I love DTC :) I'll get my rig next Friday and I am going to start mining the most profitable coin at the time.

Hello back at you.  Running 5 - 7950's and starting up a third rig with 3 - R9 270X's.  Mining LTC and DOGE.  Figured what the hell on the DOGE, we have a Shiba Inu and I'll trade those for more BTC.

I have no idea if it's currently profitable(power usage/DTC price), I am just using my laptop. I mine DTC to hold them long term. If you read in the DTC thread you will see there are more features and services coming within a month and Crypty can't keep DTC out of the party much longer. I just hope the team follows up on what they say.

I'll find out on Friday next week. People are getting 450khash out of each one so that is what I am expecting after much tweaking. 3khash/watt. http://www.overclock.net/t/1454426/r9-270-underrated-the-holy-grail-of-mining-rigs-2-important-metrics.

My plan is to build a second rig(just frames and hardware) with as many 270s I can get my hands on.

I am by no means an expert, but are you sure it's that low if you haven't measured it? 250w with full throttle just sounds too good to be true.

Hello, Newbies ;-)
760kH on R9 280x @1060MHz GPU/6400MHz mem with GPU voltage lowered. Works stable without HW errors. I7 Ivy Bridge with that takes 340W ( The score is not based on application - I got separate device measuring that). Two problems are: heat and noise. Thinking about water cooling, but this is really not cheap play for watercooling entire PC.

Mining Grumpycoins at the moment with GTX760 GPU. I've been mining Dogecoins, but I kind of gave up on mining them :/

Greetings and Salutations All,

Here I am!  Enjoying sequestration with my fellow Purgatorians  ;D.

Quid pro quo;

Will a kind soul share optimized settings for mining BTC on a R9-270x.
I don't seem to be able to get it over 380 MH/s with the current configuration.

Thanks-

I've seen the reports of 450 from 270's but only get about 375 from each of mine.  Still good khs/$ since they were only $180 each.

Hi Nunya,

"khs"??? Are you mining other that BTC?

I am running 380 Mh/s with each of the R9-270x's

I have heard of some getting 480Mh/s with these; no proof though...

Wondering if its a driver issue.

yeah, various scrypt alt coins.  I can get 390 from these without any hw errors, but they will hang a couple times a day if I push that hard.  Mine aren't 'x' models, just 270 if that makes much difference.
