Title: Simple Mining Worksheet - Difficulty vs. BTC Post by: BkkCoins on September 03, 2011, 08:57:09 AM I made up a simple spreadsheet to see the range of values as difficulty and btc price change. Also wanted to compare for different power consumption levels. Below is two screen snaps.
One for 360W (that's my 2x 5830) and one for 36W (potential 6x FPGA rig). http://i55.tinypic.com/ay6dmp.png http://i53.tinypic.com/289eql0.png OpenOffice spreadsheet here (http://www.sendspace.com/file/atiinx). (updated) I colour coded it for "good - green" being over $5/day and "give up - red" under 50 cents/day. Comments welcome, or if you see an error let me know. Here is an Excel version for anyone that doesn't have OpenOffice. Note, the original OpenOffice version does open in Google Docs as well for anyone that doesn't have either. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1169716/MiningProfitMatrix.xls Title: Re: Simple Mining Worksheet - Difficulty vs. BTC Post by: deslok on September 03, 2011, 09:43:05 PM Also note excel 2007+ can open open office files!

I made it because it helps to see the range of numbers all laid out even though I know it's simple linear relationships. I can print it and by running my finger over see what happens as price/difficulty changes.
