They mentioned bluetooth, although their prototype shown in the video seems to be USB only. With bluetooth it could pair with your smartphone over the air. Wifi or 4G would draw too much power, it would cause a battery lifetime issue in that form factor. The hardware wallet looks like the size of a credit card. If that the case, it's not only a technical detail, it's a statement. Nope I'm with you on that one - Could see them doing something dumb like using a bad RNG. Those cards are tempting now that I hear they can be ran externally on a USB Port, But if you order right now, you're not getting them until Next Year at the earliest. Why do people still trust this company? Are they really that stupid? An inexpensive, easy to use and secure bitcoin hardware wallet is an important step for mass adoption of bitcoin. Agreed. But it doesn't have to be $20 to start - I would pay $50 or more no problem for something that helped me keep my bitcoins secure. Price would come down naturally very quickly. |
