Title: Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD5 Post by: hakeriukasx on January 12, 2014, 12:28:51 AM Anyone have good experience with this motherboard Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD5.Im planning to hook up 3 R9 280x GPUs and crossfired them,but i dont know what kind of powered risers do i need buy couse i was thinking buy 3 16x-16x ,but some peoples said that i can use 1x-16x,so im confused,help me to sort it out
Title: Re: Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD5 Post by: atp1916 on January 12, 2014, 01:33:20 AM x1->x16 or x16->x16 work, just make sure you get powered risers as they are only marginally more expensive that the non-powered versions. Mining is not pcie bandwidth limited, so even x1->x16 works fine.
